  1. What's the leaf blower for.......silent walk to a hidden stand. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  2. Agree with above post. Lay a tarp down then place the deer in tarp on the hitch hauler. Then tuck the deer in nicely and bungee cord it to the hitch hauler. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  3. I am guessing we can all write a book on "The Adventures of Hanging a Treestand!" We have switched to only buying doubles lately so that's just a ball of fun. I have switched to now using a ratchet strap to also secure the stabilizer bar to the tree and it's been working great. After chef posted that pic of the muddy stand he was trying to install buckle a few weeks back......it's gives my the crawling up to put the final strap on. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  4. Up an at'um.......cams are unfortunately starting to show alot of night time activity....just need one to slip up and head for a morning cruz. Sitting in a new set this this morning....have an easy wind and a few activity scrapes 20 yards out. LFG!! 36 degrees and feeling real deery this morning. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk

  6. If it's real.....maybe some type of infection from a poorly placed arrow.....which leads to a weak deer and possible a Yote attack causing that carnage. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk

  16. Bs on what part? You can't find anything lately. Hope you have 20ga. Ammo.......that may be even more scarce than the barrel. Good luck in your search. Try some small mom and pop gun shops in your area.....they may just have one laying around. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk

  19. That 1000 to 1200 and acre may be off since the virus hit. I know you mentioned smaller parcels going for more to city folk but I think larger parcels have been driven up in price as well. If you not happy with price he offered why don't you contact a local real estate agent and have them do a little research on similar sales? This will give you a solid foundation to negotiate with your buddy. Also if your going to buy a place like that.....you better be in love with it since it's a significant investment. 20. Wow that rain just passed through and it is getting warm fast. Going to try and dial in a crossbow I bought off@phade years ago for my wife but recently I think the scope went bad. I ended up getting one from a member on here@billey100 and am gonna give it a try this afternoon. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  21. Great idea for those vertical side windows! Can you draw and shoot a bow out of it? Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  22. I think most of us with young children are in the same boat. I think the year my first son was born my wife and I still made it out for the gun opener as she had just started hunting a few years prior. After that she decided to stay home because it was a huge hassle getting all our ducks in a row just to be out for a few hours. Now my boys are 4 and 6 and time is still very limited. I balance time in the woods with the boys(who love to run around the lease.....play in the creek.....and chase squirrels) vs. actually sitting and trying to hunt deer. I wouldn't change a thing and know with such a long season from Oct. 1- Dec. 22 I will have my opportunity at a deer. I may not be a 3.5 year old stud....but it will be a deer that will provide us meat for upcoming year. So long story short at this stage of my hunting life I am totally against Ar's for my deer soaked area of 9h! Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  23. Don't brush mine in.....I will take a few pics next time I am around them. I try tucking the in right off a travel rt. 2 have been up since turkey season and one I out up for the opener of shotgun a few weeks ago...this way if the weather craps the bed it gives me a place out of the elements. 24. We ran into this problem when we started leasing a new piece 3 years ago. We have a secluded 9 acre rotating ag field on the lease and after a few scouting tips placed a stand in a location that we felt was perfect for the wind and deer travel. Well a few weeks into bow season my buddy has an encounter with a neighbor sitting in our newly set stand facing into our ag field. The guy says it's on his proerty so he can sit there and that all the deer travel from our property to his property his and he has hunted like this forever. We kindly informed him that his hunting style is now over and if we even see him facing our field that the deer better be fully on his property before he shoots it. We even told him we would allow him to recover it on our property but he better call us first or that will be the last time he sets foot on our side. We made surprise sits in that back field the first two years and made sure to post a guy back their every opening day and that has put an end to any of that neighbors old habits. Long story short looks like he is on his side and has to shoot on his property and you will be on your side shooting your way. The stands may be close but each guy will be on their own property.
