  1. Got 13 stands/ground blinds set up for the wife and I... 3 food plots...
  2. Agree if they keep the 2 buck tags... if they go to 1 buck a year I'm good with out AR's...
  3. I started walking 3 miles every morning.. then another mile later in the day... Feel better.... trying to get ready for deer season... I'm 20 lbs lighter than I was last season so that's a plus.. I'll be 49 this December and it is getting harder and harder to drop lbs...
  4. As many as I can legally take... The farm we hunt has WAY to many does... I "try" not to shoot bucks unless they are good sized... Prefer to shoot does but I let tags dictate that...
  5. I might fence a small section of my plots just to see if they are being eaten...
  6. Hoping it is raining at my food plots in Columbia county... :-)
  7. Would love to go for Tahr and Red Stag... not sure my knees can do the Tahr though...
  8. Well... that will save me some money in the spring then.... That seems odd though, I can see not during hunting season... but in the spring??? Oh well.. Thanks for keeping me on the path... LOL
  9. Why can't you put out minerals in the spring???? You aren't hunting.....
  10. It's a large farm... They plant corn, soybean and sunflower.... Thinking late season and maybe early season... plus mineral sights as well.. What we be good to maybe frost seed for an early spring bonus for them???
  11. This year I did 2 food plots.. did Biologic Green Patch plus in both.... Looking towards next year to go a step or two up from this.. what should I plant.. when should I start working the food plots.. etc...
  12. Because I didn't get any pics till 6 days after planting... this is one of the first pics of anything in the plots... If the cameras will pick up squirrels and birds, it would take a pic.. so the plates had to be the "reason" they stayed out of there..
  13. My wife and I got a combo Moose hunt for me, Black bear hunt for her and the total was under $5000.00 Recoil is definitely manageable on this rifle... Shoots really well... 1" 3 shot group was the best I did at 100... but I'll work on it. LOL
  14. Food plot growing.. pic is from the blind... Biologic green patch plus..
  15. Got a nice 7 point on camera right where I am standing, you can see the blind in the background.. This is froim a Ladder stand opposite the ground blind on a food plot next to a 3 acre corn field...
  16. In a week I've got some good growth on those plots I put in... And they found it... I used the plates to keep them out till they were growing...
  17. My T/C with my new 338 WM barrel on it, topped with w Nikon 2.5-10 W/BDC.... Taking her out tomorrow to stretch the barrel a bit to get it ready for my Newfie moose hunt...
  18. Exactly... I can just swing the moose and bear any ways.... Setting up the 338 Win Mag barrel this weekend.. mounting the scope tonight.... I'll post pics for sure!!!!
  19. It will be a week tomorrow since planting... I'll be checking on them... I'll post pics of hopefully green food plots if it comes up quick...
  20. I'm not feeling real hopeful for my two plots after this.... ug...
  21. Thanks.. hoping my new 338 win will down a nice bull and the wife gets a gorilla bear!!!! She will freak out for sure!!
