I didn't know you need your bow education # on file with the DEC. It's not like you can just add on bow without taking the class.
-
I'm not a bow hunter, but thought about it once or twice. I just found out you need to pay an extra $10 to bow hunt.. I know you need to take the class, but I didn't know it was an extra fee on your license.................. and also Muzzle. You need to pay $10 to extent your season 1 week. I thought all this was included with your regular season hunting.....

Is it me, or does it seem they cut back on DMP's this year ??? Sterling forest seems non-huntable for does, as well as many other area's. Even a few areas along the PA boarder.
-
I also have a BAR, that strings, 3" groups at best. I'm hesitant to clean it because it's done from the front. Where are you on Long Island?? Maybe you can show me how to clean a BAR .

Just ordered some Sitka gear over their web site. They charge NY sales tax. Can they legally charge NY tax without a store front here?

I tried every which brand of bug spray for gnats. They don't generally land, but they hover about 1" from my eyes, nose, ears. Finally brought a bug net !! Problem solved.

I should have gotten a cow (female Elk), but I blew the shot.
-
I'd have to try them on... But I am looking for them.

I started 2 years ago. Absolutely love it. But I go on a fully guided hunt, private land. Very expensive. I'm going back again this season.

I just scouted 3 miles. The gnats are just beyond annoying. Deep woods deet off doesn't seem to work. They just hover above my face covered with bug spray. They usually don't land, but having 100 gnats 1" around my face in intolerable. They do land on my sun glasses. What do you guys use ?

http://www.mvtimes.com/2016/07/13/visiting-physician-sheds-new-light-lyme-disease/ I took a lyme test, and one strain came up positive, but the doctor told me to ignore it. You need more than 1 strain to come up positive for an accurate result. Or else it's a false positive. Now I don't know for sure ............

My friend said his 3 Moultries died too. What brand do you find most reliable ?

One of My "Neighbors" Got Run Over by a Car Last night!

There's one that big that hangs out on the side of I-80 in PA. -
I wouldn't hesitate to use a .243 on anything. Especially a head shoot. Nothing is walking away.
-
What interests me more is the killer response team. They must have a highly trained sniper team, on call 24x7. They obviously have rifles on site. They have a decision maker who issues the kill order. No 2nd guessing. Just shoot to kill within critical distance of a human being.

Was it a good gun with a gun, or a bad guy with a gun that killed the Gorilla ??????
-
The little boy went through a lot of effort to get beyond the barriers. They say he hurdled ropes, & a moat.
-
I just called the zoo to find out. 1 shot to the head. Caliber undisclosed.
-
So.......... how did they kill the gorilla ??? What caliper? Head shot??? Body shot ???? Double lung ?? Is it on video ??? I want details !!!!!!!!!!

My wife saw a bear.... on the side of I-80, in PA. Just munching & digging on the side of the highway. I told her if she ran it over, I would have a nice rug.

I went to the QDMA seminar. It was pretty cool. I certainly learned a lot, and will be joining.

I know my butcher clipped at least a few pounds of meat. It's obvious, but there's not much you can do about it. I called him out on it. His last excuse was the little filets were dried out, so he threw them away.

I heard it was started in the area where the hikers go, and 1000's of people walk through every year. I can't imagine deer returning. They probably took their fawns, and found a new home range. Especially with the 100's of fire fighters in the woods, and water drops from above. Maybe next summer when the vegetation returns, or if there is a good acorn drop this year.... It's a very popular area for tree huggers, and day hikers.

Any news or updates on the fire ?
