Ive been wearing realtree ap since i started hunting. Always feel like i stick out in the woods. I was considering getting a mossy oak pattern but i think i might have to try this instead.

Ill try to sit the evenings tomorrow and friday... weekends will be most of the day

This state's gov't is definitely f'ed up. Though i do look forward to reciving a check. (Couldnt come at a better time) i still feel its senseless and irresponsible of them to use it as an election gimmick... not that they would ever admit that it is. I am a father of 5. Ages 10-18... 1 daughter is type 1 diabetic and my wife just found out she has lopus so she is not working. I work hard and pay my taxes and struggle to pay my bills... im just over the income threshold for any sort of assistance.... and i have never been on welfare. What really pisses me off when i see all the lazy scum that live off the system... in govt housing driving brand new suv's and knowing that they will receive a check for absolutely nothing. They should be sending checks to all that paid taxes. And not to any that have been on the welfare system for more then 3 months in the last year or 2...

That soup thing is an awesome idea!I bring a sandwich or 2. Soft granola bars.. lots of water... maybe a coffee in a good sealed container. I got to try the soip idea and Docs fried egg sandwiches sometime... Doc, those eggs fried hard? [emoji1]

Hey bubba. I started looking... about mid july. The girls really didnt start showing intrest until then.... except my oldest who has her bow class already... but is on and off about hunting. I would have started earlier. Being in orleans co and work an hour minimum from home (im getting ready to go to ithaca for the week) makes it tough to travel more then 20-30 miles. I understand that the season is about to start and instructors have to spend time in the woods too. Ill keep watching dec i have been almost daily. Stone... im not sure where portville is bit slamanca is 3 hours drive from me.

Ok.. so i have 4 daughters that want to hunt. I have searching for 2 months now for hunters ed classes close to lyndonville.. i am on the road alot so i ofter dont get home from work until 6 or 7 pm... so some of the night classes are out of the question. Weekend early morning local or within a 1/2 hour would be great. Further then that and its really difficult... those who have teenage daughters should beable to relate.. i seen a ciuple local classes here in lyndonville.. but they filled quickly... . The home study is probly out as well seeing i dont have internet at the house ( just phones) Anyone know of any classes close to lyndonville/ albion area that has 4 openings.... Thanks

I joined the forum a few years ago. but with crazy events in my life i have not had a chance to come here let alone get into the woods. Anyway. The season is starting soon so i figured i'd make a comeback to the forum and see whats new. Ill be hunting my backyard... im in 8G now.... mostly this year making the occasional foray with my cousins down into the south towns

Just to chip in my 2cents.... Sunset occurs as the sun starts to past the horizon... not dark yet...... so if your hunting till dark your basically breaking the law. sunset generally begins 30 minutes before dark. The same is also true with first light to sunrise... generally first light is 30 minutes before sunrise.

So the season is creeping closer and closer.... This is my first time hunting, and really looking forward to it. I've been doing a little scouting for areas to hunt and I've been looking for information about Braddock bay and the rose marsh section mainly because it's close by. I was wondering if anyone here has ever hunted there and if anyone would care to share there experiences or provide any tips for that area? Ive spent a few hours online looking for info but it's far and few between.. And has not been very helpful.

I tried logging on with my Iphone( just in safari) and it wanted me to install an app.... IP BOARDS. I installed It but it wouldn't connect.... Said to contact the administrator. I have mixed feelings about the new site.... I like the look. And atleast I can make posts directly now.. Instead of only being able to use the quick reply option. I will try and access some of the media content later. In the old version I problems with some video and all pictures that are posted.

When I bought my bow the serial number, my name and the proshop it was purchased at was registered with mission.

Nice bow! I got a mission craze in June. For a first bow it's nice. It is a bit hard for the draw but I figure I'll get use to it.maybe I just need to back the draw weight down a couple of pounds. I opt'd to not go with a package that was offered with it got a quad drop away and it has preformed well so far. I have had a problem with miss fires with 3 diffrent releases.... I think it might be me but that's my only complaint so far.

I usually get my licenses a week or so before I go out for the first time of the year.... At least that's what I have always done for my fishing licenses. This is my first year buying a hunting license so I'll stck with my routine.

I got a sight and rest last week and was able to start shooting the new bow! Wow..... I need a lot of practice! I can at least get the arrows into the target but not groping them very well yet. Gotta practice more. I'm hoping to get out today after work and shoot for another hour.

Leave the bill of rights alone.... Leave our given freedoms alone! IMO. If you don't like the the basic principles on which this country was founded..... GET THE F*** OUT. And that's all I have to say on that.
