Sure, why not???!!!
-
Not really. I think it's a county south... SW of Ellijay, GA.
-
I’ve had some deer and turkeys in the yard. No bear yet... but they are around according to folks I talk to. I think the hunting is pretty good although I have not actually participated yet. Here are a couple of pics...

Four words... to each his own!

I recently moved to the north GA mountains. Love the area. AAMOF, the city is Blue Ridge, GA. LOL
-
Rest assured that Meopta has some very nice stuff. I’ve used their Binoculars and scopes for years. AAMOF, they made many of the Cabelas offerings.
-
Although pretty good, Leupold glass is not the best available.
-
Please, don’t put a pos Chicom scope on that new rifle. The fixed 4x scopes are great... I run 3. A “new” one I’m considering is a Kaps. IOR also makes a sweet little 4X.

Indeed, RIP Mr. President.

If U B interested, I've got a Nightforce 2.5-10 x 32 with IHR reticle I'm selling. PM if interested.

Not surprising, but TN is worse. Obviously, one needs to be mindful and careful where one wanders. It also doesn't hurt to carry something for protection. I use a Ruger SP101 loaded with some hot stuff!!!

Agree 100% with above. If I were spending the cash on a Forbes rifle, I'd not fret over spending a bit more to get top glass.

Why is a Rem 700 better than a Ruger American?
bugsNbows replied to jmark's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
Not disputing your statements, however, I'd rather save for a nice gun. I'm too old and cranky to mess with the entry level stuff. BTDT. -
The north GA mountains are very pretty and the people I've encountered are great.

Just what you need on that new Forbes rifle... A Swaro Z3 3-9 X36 with a duplex type reticle! Lightweight, clear as a bell optics and fairly priced for an "alpha" scope. Something cheaper (but still very good) would be a Meopta Meopro. The new Tract line as well as GPO (German Precision Optics) scopes are also pretty darn great. I'm somewhat of a scope snob, and would be glad to answer any specific questions thru PM. If you want an expert reply, contact Ilya Koshkin over at Optic Thoughts (his website).

I was born and raised in NY. Left in 1976 following school, jobs and women! Ended up in Florida for many years. Got sick of the heat, humidity, traffic and crazy people. Now I’m a halfback... recently moved to the north GA mountains. So far, so good.

bugsNbows replied to jmark's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
Don't like Remmy's. Their quality has gone to he!!. Ruger American's are entry level guns. Not interested. Savage Arms is up for sale so who knows what the future may bring. If I wanted an inexpensive shooter, I'd look at Tikkas. -
