Has anybody seen this yet? turns your iPhone into your bow sight. I would never use something like this for hunting but it might be fun to play around with while practicing or just shooting for fun. http://www.firenock.com/main.php?page=iBowSight John

That was the only shot i got of him. im not sure if its just the picture or something wrong with the deer itself. John

Taking a hang on stand in and out for each hunt?
mbucks27 replied to regulat0r's topic in Bow Hunting
I would def go the climbing stand route if i were you. Much easier than carrying stand and sticks into the woods. Look into a Lone Wolf Hand Climber. Very light and quiet setup/climbing. You could also buy a pair of lone wolf sticks and use that with the hand climber when the tree has branches and you cant climb up with the climber. John -
I really hope this passes for this fall. I hunt in 4r and 4s and we need the antler restrictions badly. Most bucks in this area dont live past 1.5 years old. Also the Oct 1st opener for bow would be nice. I usually hunt Long island from Oct 1st until bow opens upsate but it would be nice to have a choice and try to hunt the bucks i have been watching all summer before they change their patterns during the pre rut. I had one going in me yesterday. My girlfriend bought me a tick remover and it works great. Ive pulled out a lot of them little buggers already with it and everyone came out still alive and with the head intact. I highly recommed this product!!!!! http://www.tickedoff.com/ John

Summit Tree Stands
mbucks27 replied to erussell's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
i have an older style bushmaster from a few years ago. it's a great stand, i upgraded to the rapid climb siturps and the pad that covers the bottom to eliminate any noise and i was happy with it. I recently bought a lone wolf hand climber and i like that as well. i havent hunted from it yet but it seems like it will be good for quick setups where i will only be sitting for a few hours. I think ill still use the summit for all day hunts due to the fact that it has the arm rests and feels a bit more comfortable to sit in for longer periods of time. Good Luck with the new stand -
I def dont think that was the way to build that stand lol. i was thinking the same thing. Also the wood that they were using for the treestand steps didnt look to secure either. The older couple from Montana seemed very scared by the bears to be considered mountain people to me. John

Havent been up to chenango this year for turkeys but i was also hunting in 4g last weekend. on saturday i had about 5 different birds gobbling but they wouldnt come in b/c i believe they were with hens. Also heard them gobbing at first light on sunday but they were on property that i didnt have permission to go on and too far away to call them to me. Going back up this weekend and i will be back at it in the morning. Good luck to everybody still out there. John

Yea im guessing he is someones pet considering that he stayed in the road and wasnt afraid of my car at all. He was also with a really old looking hen.

I filmed this tom the other day strutting in the middle of the road. This was the oldest most beat up turkey i have ever seen. No beard, missing a lot of tail feathers, and almost no spurrs left. I dont even know if i would shoot this guy if i saw it come may 1st lol. John
