  1. He speared the bear and she was dropped by UA. They've been in trouble for awhile. His excuses are pretty much in line with privileged celebrity hunter bullshit. I believe their supplement business makes a hell of a lot more money than the hunting business.
  2. Do you really need the arrow? Pretty sure you could just death stare them into submission.
  3. Thanks. I realized that I need to break my mindset. Drove to a friend's yesterday to pick up some of his new "winter gin" and I saw a six point and eight point 20 yards in on public land. I may go there tomorrow and do an afternoon sit just to break up the monotony.
  4. I'm getting a little frustrated as well. Combination of mistimed walks into my stands and inability to sit for more that 90 minutes without going crazy. Still no deer while I'm sitting.
  5. Moth damage is often found in the crotch of wool pants. I just dealt with moths in my NYC apt - helpful hint, don’t let your wife bring home a vintage fur coat. Had to remove everything from every closet, put all the clothes through a dryer cycle then bag and seal, spray all the closets and crevices with toxic shit, wait a day, then wipe every surface down with nothing but water. Wouldn’t wish moths on my enemies.
  6. Nice. Couple of questions: any issue with walking around in buckskin and a coon hat during hunting season? And why no nock on string or did I miss it?
  7. Did you kill the rattlesnake merely by staring at it.
  8. I really need to up my warm game. Hit my stand at 6:30. It was 31 degrees. I had 4 layers and could only last for two hours, shivering the entire time. Now, it's beautiful but but I have to other stuff to do. Very frustrating.
  9. ^ This. I have been stuck multiple times on the mile-long road to my cabin. And 3 miles is a lot of ploughing.
  10. Diana is toying with me. Went back to the stand where the does hang out. I have seen them at 3:00 and 4:00, so I wert in at 1:00. They were bedded in the bramble right beside the stand. They bolt. I sit for the rest of the day and walk out at 6:00. Take off all my gear and clothes on my back deck and look up to see them 10 yards away on my lawn.
  11. I wonder if surveyor's flagging tape along a lot line is considered "posting in a conspicuous manner."
  12. It is shocking how many Biden signs are up here now. I've mentioned before that I think I saw only one Clinton sign in 2016.
  13. It’s a older fawn. Hoping he lets his uncles know there’s free food at my place.
  14. Put my bow down to get a drink and looked through the window.
  15. 100 gr volume doesn't kick that much. For sale: Powerbelts - a hell of a lot cheaper than they were this morning.
  16. So not a good place to sell my leftover PBs?
  17. I showed up with a print out from two sites on their list. From the Bass Pro site: https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/pricematch 5. Qualifying Websites: If your comparison is to a product offered for sale online, that must be on a website operated either: (A) by one of the following online retailers: Academy, Amazon, Backcountry, Brownells, Cheaper Than Dirt, Dick's Sporting Goods, Field & Stream, Gander RV & Outdoors, L.L. Bean, Mack's Prairie Wings, Midway USA, Optics Planet, REI, Scheels, Sportsman's Warehouse, Tackle Warehouse or Walmart; or (B) by the manufacturer of the product (which is selling direct-to-consumers online). Check back periodically for updates to this list of qualifying websites.
  18. I drove to Bass Pro in CT from the city and got them to price match. $35 for 10oz.
  19. I watched that before I loaded and shot my ML for the first time. It made me so nervous that I put on eye and ear protection the threw on my chainsaw helmet with wire face screen.
