  1. ^ This along with climbing ropes and bike helmets. Replace after a hard fall.
  2. Glad you're okay, Chef. I recently moved two ladder stands that I inherited. Both are at least 6 years old and have been in the woods the entire time. They seem solid and I have four straps on each, as well as a safety line, but now I'm a little nervous.
  3. “No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.” H.L. Mencken (sort of)
  4. Talking about the HSUS, here is a debate from a few years ago: Hunters Conserve Wildlife. https://www.intelligencesquaredus.org/debates/hunters-conserve-wildlife For the motion were: Anthony Licata is the editor-in-chief of Field & Stream, America's largest outdoor sports magazine brand, with an audience of over 9 million hunters and fishermen. Catherine E. Semcer is a dedicated conservationist and experienced non-profit leader. 6. I don't know, "albeit" is just the kind of fancy word that Leland would use.
  7. Common sense, reasonableness and writing cadence strikes me as familiar. If this is Leland, happy to have you back, but please pick a nom de plume and stick.
  8. I think he's truly scared of her. She's more ambitious and conniving than everyone realizes.
  9. She had to have sex with Trump at least once ... that's a hell of a price. Seems like she still has a little warmth in her blood. What is Ivanka thinking? "Oh god, Jared will probably want me to use The Humbler on him again tonight. Ohhh, Justin." Canadians: shitty army, funny accents, apologise too much, but damn ... hide your women!
  10. I think he’s considered that. The Instagram video was interesting as I realised I was having trouble focusing as it seemed to flatten volume. Toray fabrics, transparent pricing, made in USA ... seems like a good option. Shitty name and logo though
  11. Just saw this on rokslide - https://gulchgear.com/. Caught my eye as I am an ex animator. I don't put much faith in photos of camo in the field as it's too easy to manipulate. But I was intrigued by this as it's hard for me to focus on any one part: And their cost/pricing transparency: https://gulchgear.com/pages/radical-transparency Interview: https://www.nbcsports.com/northwest/video/interview-brian-tindall-owner-gulch
  12. I would love to read a thread about the hunt. Good luck.
  13. Maybe you guys don't spend that much time on the internet but this place is like Shangri La compared to nearly every other board out there. It doesn't need more moderation.
  14. It’s in General Chit Chat - Farewell Huntingny.com.
  15. There are probably more hunters in NYC than people realize. The BHA event in Brooklyn I attended was packed.
  16. About five years ago, I was driving across Houston in Soho early one Sunday morning when I saw two guys pulling a nice buck off the hood of their car. This was in an apartment area so these guys were going to haul this thing up to their apt and, I guess, process it in their bathroom.
  17. But it’s so much easier to walk with the wind in my back!
  18. An awful lot of daily life can be made much easier by this approach.
