  1. With my recurve at 25 and 20 yards. About as far as I feel comfortable.
  2. That makes it so much cooler. If he (and you) are up for the telling, it would be fascinating to hear the story of how he purchased it.
  3. “In the future, everyone will be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.” ~ Andy Warhol
  4. There’s a breakout of 600+ cases in Oneonta due to a couple of uni parties.
  5. Two pre-election stories. I was at a fancy event at the Pierre and the group I was with started talking about the election when I suggested that Clinton was running a poor campaign and Trump has a chance. They laughed. A couple of weeks later, I was in the Washington home of a friend who reps a nameless internet giant there and I commented that I only see Trump signs outside of NYC on my way upstate, and that people seem to be like what he is saying. He laughed and offered me more whisky. I wish I was a betting man.
  6. Who's trying to convert anyone? Who someone does or does not vote for is their business and, assuming it's an educated and thoughtful decision, I would never hold a person's party or presidential vote against them. My only point in saying that Trump is a weak and cowardly simpleton is not to try and get anyone else to agree, but simply to say that Trump is a weak and cowardly simpleton. Other than that, carry on.
  7. What is particularly head shaking is that is so easy to say the right things in these situations. It's as if his personality just stopped developing when he was an asshole17 year old.
  8. Exploding rocks seems so on point for 2020.
  9. Maybe too late, but here's a good paper on fern control and eradication: https://cpb-us-e1.wpmucdn.com/blogs.cornell.edu/dist/d/5957/files/2015/03/fern-management-fact-sheet-Dave-Jackson-PSU-2016-zrs1al.pdf
  10. Morons. Remind me to never try and put out a clothing fire with a garbage can lid. It would have been better if they all started pissing on his shoes.
  11. Definitely rough night. I think my covid drinking has finally caught up to me. Now that I'm sober maybe I have a different view on Trump ... be right back ... nope, he's still a dangerous dickhead.
  12. I used to do a two week hard-core Master Cleanse fast every year. Nothing but water with maple syrup, cayenne pepper and lemons. Not sure I could handle it anymore. Also did IF which worked well for me. Any "diet" that limits calories will work if you can stick with it. The secret is finding one that fits your schedule and mind set, and allows you to function.
  13. Sources and journalists typically trust each other - hence the anonymity. There is something to a number of media outlets confirming this. And Vindman is a cautionary tale. I find it unbelievable that anyone would say this but then again we're talking about Trump. Not exactly known for having an inner voice, has expressed this kind of sentiment prior and, like an idiot, just did a press conference where he was thrown a softball question about John Kelly that he didn't understand so used the time to trash Kelly. It's like a whole new category of stupid.
  14. National Security Correspondent for Fox News confirms: https://twitter.com/JenGriffinFNC
  15. Biden is a terrible choice. However, what is at issue is whether or not he is a less terrible choice than Trump.
  16. No idea who Kirk Cousins is. I was just riffing off of Biz's two comments. But as quoted, that's a reasonable approach. Personal safety, public safety, follow protocols, get on with life.
  17. I shoot left. I dress left. I lean right. Do you think any of that is untrue? The poll is from The Military Times. Leftist commie rag? You seem to mention "orange man" a lot. Irish protestant? If so, I have a very cool movie to recommend.
  18. Damn, if half of this is true ... https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2020/09/trump-americans-who-died-at-war-are-losers-and-suckers/615997/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=the-atlantic&utm_term=2020-09-03T21%3A44%3A35&utm_content=edit-promo In a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit, Trump said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers” for getting killed.
  19. And if I infect someone who has a co morbidity ... well, they were going to die anyway.
  20. Can't argue with that kind of well-reasoned and science-based position. Thank you, Dr. Atlas.
