Biden/Harris 2020!
left field replied to Delete's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Holy moly ... so much strife over a simple word. He seems like a nice guy. Certainly to those who met him face-to-face. On here, he was self-effacing and funny, and never insulted anyone he disagreed with. (Unlike Rattler, who in his "I'm taking my ball and going home" post, couldn't resist getting a parting shot in at his "enemies".) As near as I can tell, Leland was a little liberal on these issues and a little conservative on those. A position that I think a tremendous number of Americans hold. So, I think the description holds. He's likeable. -

It's a little confusing. He left or just changed his name again? If the latter it's too bad. He's a smart, thoughtful, and likeable guy. -

I don’t have a cause. I think Trump Is a venal mono-syllabic asshat surrounded by fawning lickspittles and those who manipulate him to achieve their personal goals. I think he should be replaced and relegated to the dustbin of history. Not a Biden fan. Not a Harris fan. Probably disagree with half of what they propose, but at this point I’d go with Spicoli. -

At this point in America’s history, with every thing we know about everyone, does a presidential debate offer any new insight into a candidate? Her sister is a bit of a looker. Could be lots of hair sniffing in Joe’s future. -

Attack dog. I can see her eviscerating Pence in a debate while picking off Trump from afar. Biden gets to keep his hands clean. -
State College has some exceptional trout water. If you don't already fly fish, you may want to take it up. Best of luck in all your future endeavours.

True. But there is a slight difference between making an off-the-cuff mistake and not recognizing a well-known written word. It lends credence to the idea that Trump may have a reading disorder like dyslexia. No great crime, much like Biden's stutter, but in the latter's case, he owns it which shows character and empathy. Or it's possible that Trump is continually running the five genius words (person, woman, man, camera, TV) through his head in case he asked about them at a later date. Then again, it's entirely conceivable that Trump has never heard of Yosemite. Really, all options are on the table.

Can you explain it to me? And "Yo Semite"? How is it possible that a 74-year-old american can't recognize the word "yosemite"? Unless it's all part of a master marketing plan for the National Museum of American Jewish History t-shirts.

It's like a meh super power from Mystery Men the way you can play both sides (most likely; seems unlikely) in one statement. You're not going to meet anyone when you sit alone in your car spying on the Delhi protestors.

That presumes @Rattler actually looks at or reads the stuff he posts.

And sometimes hold it for days. The outhouse is getting full so I need to build another but instead of a pit I may just put a cheap composting system in. Basically, a five gallon bucket with another bucket of peat moss beside it. When full, it gets composted under straw in a bin at the back of the property.

Then you can keep the feathers of a turkey that identifies as a bald eagle.

There is one that is used occasionally. The main cabin has a very rudimentary compost toilet and the grey water is handled via a dry well system. We're considering putting in a proper incineration system but it's $2000 so I'm in no rush.

I would think power > potable water > septic. At my place, where I've been living fulltime for the past 6 months, I have the first two but no septic and I'm fine.
-
Power is a game changer. If you don't want to go the expense of bringing it in, I would look for a good solar system which could be had for much less. Easily recouped in the sale price.
-
There is that.

That's one of the cool things about trout - the Brits brought them everywhere during their colonial expansion, so you can fish for them in CR, India, S Africa, Taiwan; pretty much any place with cold fresh water. Of course, you can also fish for Gila trout in the high deserts of New Mexico or Apache trout in Arizona. Here a shot I took in the high desert in the Sierra.

I'm bouncing between the two. City now for a few days then back upstate. Don't think I can make it but thanks.

If you're up for a CR fishing adventure ... trout in the rainforest.

It was a stupid thing to do at a public demonstration, but it looks like no active-duty personnel were involved. I'm a little surprised how weak those dogs are.
