Last night's clincher was kind of anti-climactic for me as I felt that they had the division locked up over a week ago. The real clincher is when they clinch home field advantage against the Dodgers. The Dodgers home versus away record is drastic.

Then you should be fine. I don't think nerves care if you're using iron sights, red dot, or scope. When nerves wants to screw you over, it will. That said, I also say my groups (including the flyer) are doubled in real world conditions just as a general rule of thumb. i.e. if my groupings are 2 inches with the flyer, then I'm probably shooting 4 inch groups when nervous. Of course that's just my own personal rule of thumb and not a scientific fact. I include the flyer because Murphy's Law says that's the shot you'll take when the moment counts.

30 in woods. 40 in open clearing.

I would not try to hunt with iron sights if you haven't practiced with it. If you do, you'll notice that hitting a paper plate at 50 yards isn't that hard. I consistently pop beer cans at 50 yards with my Henry 22LR with buck horn sights.

What phade said. Designed to use in heavy brushes and vegetation where quick reaction is required since you can't see the game until the very last second. Usually chambered with hard hitting rounds. Long distance ballistics is not considered.

Wow...so now muzzlebreaks are included in the new law? That's some s#!t!
-
The language in the law does not specify muzzlebreaks. It lists suppressors or threaded so that it can accept a suppressor. If the muzzlebreak is detachable thus allowing you to remove the muzzlebreak and replace it with a suppressor afterwards, is semi-auto, and accepts detachable magazines, then it's an "assault weapon". If the muzzlebreak is built in and can't be detached to accept a suppressor, then it should not be considered an "assault weapon".

Thanks for the input, guys. This was where I parked. I then entered by heading north on what looks like Rinaldi Trail/Blue Loop 4. I did drive further north on 41 and yes, it was packed. At least 8 cars and two mountain bikers were unloading their bikes just as I pulled in. I didn't stop to look at the sign but I did see some notes regarding hunting on the board there. The moment I saw the 8 cars I already made up my mind to head to my original destination and get some quality time in the woods instead of running around on a wild goose chase. Just curious about this spot since I always wondered about it as a possible hunting destination.

I was on my way to a spot to hunt, I passed Nimham Mountain which I don't think I've ever been to. There was construction on the bridge I needed to cross so I said why not, let's check out Nimham Mountain. I park in the parking spot off of Nichols Street. On my way in, I bump into a guy walking his dog. He told me that there was no hunting in this area. I asked if he was sure and he said he was pretty sure. Then he asked if I was hunting deer and I told him I was hunting squirrels. I reiterated again that I was pretty sure I remember seeing Nimham Mountain on the DEC map. He told me that he might be wrong but he didn't want me to get busted and that it might be other areas of Nimham that allows hunting. I figure it wasn't worth the risk in case I was wrong and he was right since this wasn't my destination anyway so I left. Now that I'm home, I checked online and see that it is listed as a hunting area. He didn't seem like an anti as he was very cordial. Don't know. Maybe he was cordial because I was very pleasant in response when he told me there was no hunting there. Or maybe he was honest but was simply confused? Has anyone hunted Nimham Mountain and is there some special regulation in that area? Particularly off of Nichols Street?

In defense to my earlier comment, not to say I don't go out in windy days or (light) rainy days either. I listened to the wind howl and the acorns drop all afternoon. Took this guy at the end of the day today.

I use to buy the 525 rounds Remington Golden Bullets for around $21. I bought 500 round brick of Remington Thunderbolts (They didn't have the Golden Bullets) last week at Dicks for $35.

Read the disclaimer: These parasites are harmless to humans. I'd still examine the meat a little more closely before eating it though. https://www.qdma.com/articles/10-weird-parasites-that-live-inside-deer
