Not for nothing but this reminds me of that kid who was trying to sue McDonalds for making him fat. Plain and simple. If you don't like it, don't buy it. I don't understand why people buy it and then complain about it. No one if putting a gun to your head and forcing you to eat at McDonalds either.

eyecarve, Hmm....there was clearly someone there shooting a crossbow. No mistake about it because a couple of guys were oohhhing and awwwing about it because it's was a kick ass looking xbow. Looks more like for competition then hunting. Maybe he was someone who works there or knows the owner personally.

But, anyway...way to much about this subject already...with what ever free brain cells I have right now I'm devoting it to hunting and Jeremy Lin. There's no room there for Whitney.

I agree. In the end, they are still human beings. The autopsy revealed that died from combining prescription medication and alcohol. Of course we can never really believe what we hear. Was she really only on prescription medication? My girlfriend watches celebrity gossip every once in a while and I stumble into the living room once when they were running a story about Bruce Willis threatening a photographer when he went to visit Demi Moore. If you see the photographer, he had his camera so close in Bruce's face that if he slipped or if Bruce flinched, the camera would have hit Bruce in the face all this while Bruce is in an emotional state because he is visiting someone he obviously still cares about that is going through medical and personal issues. Let's put it this way...I give Bruce Willis a ton of respected for not punching the photographer in the face. But of course, I would be sued. I think this lost of public life can turn some people to drugs. Yes, sure. Would I trade my personal life in for fame and fortune? Yeah, I would. Would I be able to resist drugs when I do so? I am going to say yes, but I will acknowledge that it is easy for me to say so now because I don't face the crap that they deal with.

Haven't seen anything like it but from what you're describing, it sounds like a fox squirrel.

I was at Pro Line in Queens last week and saw someone shooting a crossbow there.

I'm pretty sure she OD'ed. While it's probably the case, the cause of death hasn't been revealed yet. Innocent until proven guilty.

Honestly, if they allow xbows during archery season, I'll buy a xbow. I'll still shoot the compound here and there for fun but I'll never carry the compound afield again. It'll be the xbow all the time.

It appears any rifle ( as defined as any firearm that has a barrel that measures 16" or longer) that can hold more than 5 rounds is banned. The only lever-action I can think of that fits that criteria is the Browning BLR. I wanted one in rimfire because I wanted it for plinking. $1 per round it too expensive to plink with for my blood. -
You look at a spoiled brat teen like that talk about the "cleaning lady" and how outrangeous it is for her to have to clean up after herself and then it wouldn't surprise me that years later she's complaining about how the foreign immigrants are taking all the jobs. The very jobs that she feels is beneath her.

I figure you use a foot on each end for the actual knotting so you end up with about 4 feet of spacing as a result.

You don't think about it but it makes sense and then you realize they're always there. http://cubiclebot.com/news/the-super-bowl-sniper-nest-photos-are-real-but-probably-not-what-you-think/ http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2098592/Photos-snipers-nest-Super-Bowl-police-watched-big-game-high-powered-rifles.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

You should read the instructions. Climbers come with a string that you use to tie the bottom half with the top half so that if the bottom half slips and falls, it will only fall a couple of feet. Any ol' string would work too. Should not be more than 5 to 6 feet long.

Coincidentaly, I ran across this article this morning. The concept is that it takes our body 20 minutes to tell our brain that we're full. So if you shovel tons of food in those 20 minutes, you'll eat a lot more than you need to eat but if you eat slowly, you would trick your brain into thinking it's full and avoid over eating. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/08/dining/mindful-eating-as-food-for-thought.html?pagewanted=all%3Fsrc%3Dtp&smid=fb-share

7000 calories is the equivalent of 5 super sized McDonalds value meals. If you're eating that many per day, you should be dead in a year. However, it is not uncommon for professional athletes to consume that many but that is because they are burning through much more since they work out hours each day. I'm 5'8" and 170. I consume between 2400 to 2800 calories a day but I burn through over a 1000 calories per work out session which consists of 1 hour of weight lifting followed by a 4 to 6 mile run while keeping my heart rate between 140-160 bpm. I do this 3 times a week so that means I burn off 3000+ per week. That's the only way I can consume 2800 calories per day and not gain weight. PS: A decent heart rate monitor is one of the best investments you can make if you're planning on getting healthy.

Don't tell anyone and then suddenly disappear. Seems that when you fall into money, distant cousins you don't even knew you had start showing up with some sort of life threatening illness they need money for.

Large Capacity Magazine
Elmo replied to Elmo's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I have a 10/22 but the shop I bought it from (Gandermountain) wouldn't let me walk out with the magazine that came with it because it was a 10 round mag. I bought a 5 round mag off of MidwayUSA. Technically, I can go out of the city and just buy a high capacity mag upstate. Doesn't work with lever-action rimfires since all their mags are built in. -
Odd that Wisconsin is a high risk area and yet, Michigan isn't. The only link I can come up with between Wisconsin and the North east is the major production of cheese.

+1. Take 3 steps up, slide down 2. Take another 3 steps up, slide down 2. Took forever to get 20 feet up.

Been wanting to get a lever-action rimfire rifle but every one of them are tube feed magazines that hold 15+ rounds. Any lawyers here than can translate this into english? Particularly note #16. Thanks! New York City: New York City regulates ammunition feeding devices, which are defined as a magazine, belt, feedstrip, drum or clip that can be attached to or used with a firearm. Ammunition feeding devices for use with rifles and shotguns: subject to limited exceptions, no person may possess an ammunition feeding device designed for use in a rifle or shotgun if the device has the capacity to hold more than five rounds of ammunition. Ammunition feeding devices designed for use in a rifle or shotgun may not be transferred except between an authorized possessor (a rifle or shotgun permit holder) and a dealer in rifles and shotguns. 16-While New York City does not define large capacity ammunition magazines based on the number of rounds they can hold, it does ban possession of large capacity ammunition feeding devices designed for use in a rifle or shotgun it the device has the capacity to hold more than five rounds.
