He also donated part of his home run derby winnings to some veteran charity. Then in a very apropos fashion, they go out on 9/11 and score 9 runs on 11 hits. You can't script it any better.

Was getting ready to leave the house when the first plane hit. Friend called me. I was a couple of blocks from the WTC when the first car bombing occurred years prior so I didn't think much of it. I figured a plane hit the building, they'll have it fixed before we know it. Was stuck in traffic in Manhattan when the second plane hit. Was sill in traffic when they collapsed.

I think Daniel Jones is going to surprise a lot of people and turn out to be a very good QB. Not super star level but he'll be very good. I still think it was horrible to take him at 6th. If you have a hidden gem, you treat him as a hidden gem. He would still have been there at 17th.

Got the kids breakfast then hit the woods for the 1st time in 2 years. It was good to be out. Even with the light drizzle which hardly penetrated the tree canopy. Saw 2 squirrels. Both got away. Then came the heavy down pour which cut my day short. Hopefully I'll be back out soon.- 9790 replies

Capping the limit of "likes" is annoying when it comes to this. Finally caught up. Landed Sunday (birthday) morning and was basically in and out of sleep most of the day. Still adjusting to the 12/13 hour difference.
