    Anything less than 12" is pointless but I will also add that if the snow is super fluffy they are also pointless as you will still sink down and THEN throw light snow up in the air and down the back of your neck. I've had a pair since I was a teenager, never wore them for deer hunting and only occasionally wore them for small game hunting in the late season when the snow really piled up.

    As burnt out as I was that last weekend of the gun season I did miss not being in the woods last weekend. I almost went out with my camera Sunday to sit in a stand for a bit because I have to pull the seat pad but that area ended up being flooded again so I passed. Only 288 days to go now

    Whoever is hunting with me gets the first text followed up with a text to my wife usually saying don't wait for me to get home to have dinner as I am gonna be late. Then i'll post a picture on the forum and usually at the end of the day i'll text my good buddy a picture if he wasn't out hunting with me that day. Depending on Buck/Doe and size of the Buck/Doe posting the picture on the forum will lead to a series of text message from fellow members as well.
