  1. I agree with everyone else it’ll be fine. One day isn’t enough to offset the cold we had. On top of that you packed em with ice. I always panic as well when the temps get in the 40’s but it’s always ok. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. It's a baby squatch. It hasn't learned how to walk yet. I'd approximate age at 2-3 weeks old and 74 pounds.
  3. Oh man I cant believe you all report late and chance it like that. I report it as soon as I fill the tag out. Wouldn't want to get in trouble! Kidding I'm like all y'all slackers and have a tendency to report it late. This year was only 3 days after so that's a win!
  4. Happy Birthday! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. If I cut them any bigger I can’t eat it all in one sitting then they get reheated which sucks. I cut them to this size get the cast iron pan nice and hot then maybe 2-3 min each side and they are a nice medium rare. Allows me to have them seasoned a bunch of different ways as well. I finished up the entire buck today. 52 packages of vacuum packed goodness. I didn’t weight it to see how much I got. Hardly ever do. Just count the different packages. 9. Today’s butcher block episode is brought to you by the letter “V”. “V” is for vodka as in someone had to much of it last night as was not waking up to go hunting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Do it you won’t regret it! I started taking mine at 5 years old. Don’t have any high expectations of seeing deer or staying out long but it’s a ton of fun. Bring snack, books, headphones, hot coco. Anything to just get a little more time out of them. I hope to get one of mine out this afternoon for a sit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Dark to dark in the rain didn’t see anything but at least I stayed dry with the tree umbrella. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. This just feels like the right thing to do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. In comes the rain. Looks like I’m stuck under this umbrella for a while. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Try putting a single light bulb in the refrigerator that’s always on. I use a work shop style with the metal guard. Something about the warmth of the bulb is enough to warm the fridge occasionally and make the compressor kick on and keep the freezer working. I’ve done it with a compact fluorescent and it worked for me. I’d assume LED would not work because they really don’t give off heat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Awesome! Can’t wait to see some better pictures he looks like a beast! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    First buck

I wish I had some of your guys memories! Pretty sure my first buck was a tiny 5 pointer. Probably one of the first non spiked bucks I’d seen in the woods. I couldn’t tell you what year let alone the date. I can tell you I shot it with a Remington 1100 because that’s the gun I’ve been hunting with for years ever since I had a 20ga 870 stolen the day before opening day. 19. Luckily I don’t have to deal with yotes. 5-6 hours is a lot of time with yotes close by. I’d stick with your original plan. Good luck! Post up the outcome Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I agree with Turkeyfeathers, let him go the evening and get after him first thing in the morning. If it is liver he won’t be far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I had to venture over here after reading the live from the woods thread. Was not disappointed. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Any idea on the quality of these cameras? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I have never claimed to be a smart man but I have made it to 11am. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. This has now become a mental battle. The wind has picked up my toes are cold and my skittles could beak my teeth but I see a lot of activity at this mid morning from this stand. 70 min to go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
