Going to the way back machine. I was out in my garage the other day cleaning and drinking(imagine that) when I decided to rack my brain(see what I did there) as to what exactly was my first buck. I am 99% certain this rack belonged to my first buck. I remember he had a big body on him and I dropped him off at the processor which is why I just have the cap. Shortly after this buck I started to do my own deer so the other bucks I have in the garage are all skulls. Still no field pictures and I never looked into the log book to see if I could find the entry so there you have it with 99% certainty this is my first buck. He would have been taken with a 12ga Remington shotgun with a red dot non powered scope. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Happy Birthday! I'm jealous of all you guys with birthdays during the hunting season. Mine's in mid March and there's almost nothing to do outside at that time.

So I just popped on amazon real quick and that really is a steal for that sled. Has anyone used one like it before? I am wondering how much recoil it cuts down on. I've been thinking about getting this style for a while now to help my daughter move up to a higher caliber than a .22 It's a 2 part problem for her, noise and recoil. OK maybe a 3 part problem. Noise, recoil and her own head. If she can get past the nervousness of something new she will be fine its just getting to that point that's difficult.
