Deer coming into the plot. Hopefully one of the big boys follows suit.

Sitting in a brand new set on a new food plot this morning. Cameras have been catching a ton of activity here, so hopefully one of the big boys that's been hanging here quite a bit will show up today. A lot of the mature buck activity has been mid morning here. We will see.

Halloween is right around the corner, pick one up for cheap the day after.

Thats a local law, not state. BTW, if you keep reading, it says you can carry one openly if you have a locking device on it (trigger lock, etc)

Theres nothing vague about it. Concealed carry laws apply to pistols. There are no laws that state you cannot carry a long gun in plain view.

You can carry a sword around all you want, same as a knife, rifle, etc. You cannot "pull your CCW" just because someone has a weapon that they are not threatening anyone with, period. As I said, as soon as they start threatening or attacking, it becomes a different story.

I dont believe half of the storys that are being released at this point. Its turned into a little bit of hysteria.

First off, it was a joke where I was calling myself creepy. You first reaction was right. Second, thats my daughter, and I would never let anyone attack her without consequences. Third, I carry, and I know that just because someone is dressed as a clown, no matter where they are I cant and wouldnt shoot them unless they were attacking me. I also know that if someone is walking out of the woods with a sword, or any other weapon, I cant and wouldnt shoot them. If someone is threatening or attacking me with a weapon, thats a whole different ballgame. Seriously, all these people saying that someone should get shot because they look like a creepy clown, are idiots.

So youre saying youd shoot someone for walking out of the woods toward you and being creepy looking? I hope I never see you when Im coming out of the woods then. Might be the last thing I ever do!

The tough part is choosing which farm to hunt. The wind is going to be absolutely perfect for one stand in particular though. I think its gonna be time to see if I cant find Waldo (the one Ive been chasing since last year).

Here you go. Trailer was built in 1981. I looked at the registration last night. Steel mesh deck that hasnt had paint on it in god knows how long.

Ill be out for sure, at least Saturday morning. The rest of the weekend, we will have to see.

Federal Fusion is not solid copper ammo. Its jacketed lead. I use it and just clean my rifle with the Hoppes copper solvent and have no issues.

Theres nothing wrong with a mesh floor. My trailer has one, and I couldnt even tell you how old it is. Yes, it will rust out eventually, but at that point it wont be very hard or expensive to replace it with a wood floor anyway. That size trailer is hard to find sometimes in good condition on the used market. Been there, tried that. I ended up going with a bigger trailer, but thats because I need to haul my side by side and other equipment alot more. I did just end up with a 5x8 drop gate similar to that one, but it has a rotted out tongue, and a rotten wood floor that I will be replacing. It was free so I dont mind putting the work into it. It will be nice to use when I dont need the big trailer.
