  1. Mine does 50+, and is setup perfectly for driving at those speeds. There are also plenty of sport side by sides that are purpose built for speed. Check out the Arctic Cat Wildcat, Yamaha YXZ1000R, Polaris RZR, etc.
  2. Looks like some rain is headed toward our area, hopefully you get some
  3. A week or two old during bow season? How big was it?
  4. What part of it being a proven success in many states dont you get? Also, at no point has anyone ever implied it was a cure all, but you just cant seem to stop throwing that turd into the conversation.
  5. My R700 VTR in 308 chucking 150 grain Federal Fusions. Just had her out getting warmed up this past weekend.
  6. Selling my trailer. 14x6 wood deck, dual 7500lb axles, galvanized steel frame. Needs tires, but can be transported on the ones it has. It has electric brakes on the front axle, but I do not have them hooked up. Would need the battery and detach switch kit, which is about $50 and the round plug kit. Im looking to get it out of my yard soon, as I want to bring my new one home, but the village says you cant have 2 of the same type trailer. $900.00 Price will go up accordingly if I paint it and put new tires on, etc.
  7. Gators do way more than 25. The Kubotas and I believe the Cub Cadets are slow.
  8. Using the bed is a bit more cumbersome than a trailer would be, as its higher up so its similar to loading a deer in a pickup truck, but the plus sides to it makes it a big positive all around. One thing thats nice is when I get a deer, and haul it back in the bed of the UTV, I just drop the tailgate of my truck, back the UTV up to that and slide the deer into the truck. The bed height is almost exactly the same.
  9. The last Nikon glass I bought was 2 years. The seals on the binos took a dump in year 3, they refused to replace or fix them. I havent bought anything Nikon since, and probably wont ever again.
  10. There is already an easy way to donate deer to food banks. Many local processors accept them. All you need to do is drop it off, tag it as you want to donate it, and thats it. Then you just report it as normal. http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/8351.html
  11. He was called out on it, and didnt seem to give a damn.
  12. So then its not a self inflicted OBR
  13. Yes, I look for another buck, but its only because I have the tag. As far as my priorities for the deer I kill go, filling my freezer and helping the farmer fill his DMAPs are higher on the list than putting a rack on the wall. If I shoot a buck, its the icing on the cake. If I only have one buck tag, and fill it on opening day of bow season, Im still gonna be out there hunting the rest of the season. Its not all about the trophy for me.
  14. If you guys want to debate CWD, do it in its own thread please.
  15. While its a good idea to address the doe overpopulation idea, it still doesnt address the other things that a OBR does.
  16. I dont use climbers anymore. Sold my last one a couple of years ago. Havent gotten a good portable hang on setup yet. Ill definately keep it in mind if I do either of those.
  17. Ok, gottcha now. I never thought of using one that way I guess.
  18. Oh, well thats the same way you use a regular safety strap, I dont really see the point of a prusik. I put prusiks on my hang on sets, the rope stays there and the knot is moved up and down the line as I go up and down. Its attached to the tree at the top and bottom.
  19. Yeah we very well might be. We havent gotten a ton, but its been enough to keep things from drying out completely. Hope you get some soon.
  20. Funny, you usually seem to be the one firing the first shots. Im guilty of the same thing now and again, just making an observation.
  21. A prussic setup wont help with a climber unless you are always going up the same tree. At that point, theres no reason for a climber lol.
