  1. Couldnt tell you that. When I bought mine, they were marked pre-ban. I had a few I bought through Cheaperthandirt that I sold and the one I sold with the gun was from a gun show.
  2. Just saying what I was told by LEO when they inspected the gun. Mine had a pinned folding stock, pistol grip, muzzle brake and 30 round mags. I was told that I could have had the collapsible stock as well because I was looking into that before I sold it.
  3. Opps, I read that wrong. Yes, my SKS had the removable clips. 30 rounders to be exact. Is it known exactly what these guys were selling? If they were collapsible stock with a pistol grip and a flash suppressor, then they should have known better. Im not saying that I agree with the state's definition of classification of "assault weapons", Im just saying that the law is what it is and if you dont follow it, you pay the price.
  4. Hold on VJP, I did alot of research into this when I built my SKS. To be an assault rifle, the gun needs to be able to accept a removable clip capable of more than 5 rounds AND include two of the defined features. You can have a collapsable stock and a pistol grip, but if you then include a flash suppressor, it is illegal. I put a muzzle brake on mine and it was fine. That is what I was told by local LEOs, and they inspected the gun to verify.
  5. Nope, they are legal. A pile of corn is not.
  6. And the best part is, he said the pic is right in front of the tree with the stand in it.
  7. I guess my joke went right over your head ;D I got yours.
  8. True. I started getting interested until I saw the price of an Illinois tag. ??? Guys in NY need to stop complaining about license fees lol.
  9. Where are you gonna get a round trip airplane ticket (with the extra fees for the bow or gun and all of your gear) plus a rental car for $400? And where are you paying $4 a gallon for gas? ;D
  10. You can dry fire an Excalibur, throw it, bounce it off of the limbs, just about abuse it any way you want with no issues. Just watch Deer City USA, they show you on there.
  11. It sure seems that way when you dont use the quote feature or seperate your comments. Big, run on sentences tend to confuse those that you are talking with, or to.
  12. So um, what do you think an "assault weapon" is? Where do you draw the line?
  13. It did seem to start when you got back though lol. Maybe you should change your name to holyeddie ;D
  14. You might just want to tell him straight up that its illegal and if you are caught hunting on lands that are baited, you end up paying the price.
  15. Yes, red squirrel is open all year but you werent being specific. Buy a live trap or two for the greys and take them for rides a few miles away rather than break the law. BTW, I had to edit your language I don't need any of those arson prone squirrels in my heighborhood---keep them by you!! Isn't transport of live wild game illegal too? Not sure on that one, should probably call encon and see what they say. Either that or put a squirrel proof grate on your chimney and not worry about them or santa clause getting stuck in there any more. ;D

  17. Ive been having the same issue on my PC and on my Droid. Its not your computers. I have not had a chance to ask John about it yet. Maybe Eddie being back freaked the server out ;D .
  18. Fact... You some how skimmed the fact that I said I don't like the idea of...and referenced it to as we ALL know the ppl who walk around the woods with guns doing the same thing...by the way look around the forums...I'm not the only one discussing idiots with weapons...ie the discussion of ppl using scopes as binoculars There are a few of you that love to try the school yard bully stuff on ppl with different opinions than yours....If you feel you fall into that category...hey keep up your little tactics...I enjoy a good smile I also noticed that when giving my opinion...you tried to state I was using facts...yet when I stated actual fact...that could be looked up you skimmed over all that I said...but ya know...I'm probably...not the only one that noticed the few that do this First off, I didnt make any Rodney Dangerfield crack. But thanks again for yet another shot. : Second, if you are going to throw accusations of all kinds of accidents occurring, dont you think you should be able to back the claims up? If you cant, they become nothing more than baseless claims. Sorry, but thats how it is. Like I said, if the stats were there to back up such a high rate of accidents with crossbows, the anti-crossbow crowd would be using that argument against them. I have yet to see that argument used with any numbers or reports to back it up. Im not bullying you because you disagree with my point of view, I am debating the claims you presented. Also, I feel sorry that you have to deal with what sounds like a bunch of morons for neighbors, and Im not disputing what you are saying about them.
  19. Oh and Grow, if there were all kinds of accidents and crossbow shootings happening in other states (Ohio included), the NYB guys would throw those stats around as much as they possibly could to further their message.
