I was suppose to go on this trip but my back is killing me and life is busy. Cape Hatteras. My buddy has the boat two more days. Wahoo was a steady bite all day.

Good man very nice gesture. For what its worth I'm very close to you and I have great luck that time of year. How far are you from Remsen? Doubt I will make it but a couple of members are right in that area.

Banana, Hungarian wax and cherry peppers stuffed with crab, cream cheese and cheddar. It was good.

That makes two of us (just noticed you said taco sauce, this is regular sauce). If it's good I'm calling it irish sauce. If it's bad just regular Italian sauce. My Italian friends will love that. Did you peel the tomatoes? I found a quick recipe and it came out good but I should have used a different olive oil. Tomatoes,garlic and basil all from the garden. 100% home grown I take pride in my Irish sauce. Five more quarts of canned tomatoes. I have another 10 pounds to do something with, probably canning more.

Yeah I have three so far but they don't taste as good as last year. I have at least 100 ripe now. I'll pull them and try another recipe.

Temps in the high 70s when the early season starts will keep me out of the woods but I may sit on a field and pack the freezer if there is a temp drop into the 60s. Processing the deer is the tricky part. -
First melon. Filled the bucket much quicker then expected. This is from one row of plants. I have three more to go lol.

My buddy is a butcher he cut it up for me. Roast and ground but tbh it didn't taste good at all. If I shokt another downstate I will donate the meat. Haven't shot an adk bear yet.

350 big bear. Mind if I ask what area or town in 3m? I've had some luck on stateland at Rosa Gap state forest. Bloomingburg definitely has bears. My brother just found a skull in his backyard. Good luck

I'm scheduled to lose power at about 730 perfect timing. I might have to draft from my truck after a quick drive because I don't have phone service at my house.

About half my romas got pulled today. Have some hornworm issues with the other kind of tomatoes so I pulled a couple early. Tomorrow will be a massive pepper haul.

That soil looks great. Yours is a little ahead of mine planted the same day. Have you fertilized at all? I'm gonna dump some urea on my brassica plots in a week or so weather depending. -
My wife doesn't mind at all but all other projects and hobbies stop. My buddy stopped by yesterday and tried to get me to coach fall baseball. I laughed but now have to take his 12 year old hunting. Wife is due with our first December 18th so I will be putting in time early season. She is about done with the we couldn't have held off for another month jokes. If I would have done what Biz suggested I would have had a full season. And why do people get married during the rut? My cousin is really asking for a no show.
