  1. Neither has anything on the Mets. Boy they are hitting. Degrom and Scherzer just watching win after win as they get healthy.
  2. Carrots, spinich and garlic looking good (shapes are getting there) just can't get the clover under control. Peppers should be ready in about a week. I had to throw DE all over the eggplant, peppers and potatoes so I'll save a picture for when they look pretty. My first year doing lots of flowers. Zinnias and marigolds are just blooming. Hoping they help when potatoe flea beetles and aphids.
  3. Looks great. TV setup is sweet
  4. Finally made it to my cabin. First fore for me as well. Lots of work cutting today so I earned a couple beers and a Rangers victory.
  5. How was that calamari watermelon mix? Very interesting I've never seen calamari with anything like that.
  6. Looks horrible, would hate to be forced to eat all that gross stuff.
  7. My condolences to the families I can't imagine the pain and suffering they will incur. My wife and I met up for lunch after work yesterday. She is a special education principal for high-school kids kicked out of other schools. First thing she tells me is she had to suspend a kid 19 years old for saying he was gonna shoot up the school after an argument with a teacher. She loves this kid but he is very troubled. Next thing we see on TV is the incident in Texas. She is shocked to say the least. Shit hits home real quick. I don't enjoy worrying about her but don't have a fix so I will have faith In how she handles her job. If kids can't go to school without worrying about this crap they will not properly learn, nor be properly adjusted. We live in a world with no perfect answer that's for sure.
  8. I second that. I coach 8-10 little league, half the kids won't even play in a couple years. Travel ball or if you have a kid you see will excel, sure invest in equipment.
  9. Hell yeah great thread. All mine are in my barn so I'll post pictures tomorrow if I remember. I spent all of last year only hunting recurve during bow season. Went one for one shot wise. Really rewarding and I'm done with compound forever. Forget compound vs crossbow we need a recurve season before the $1500 compound bows join the party. Joking but I find it hilarious that some compound guys whine and cry about crossbow season yet their equipment is just as good. Hunt to your own preference and worry about others never.
  10. Finally the fence is enclosed! Still another day of work but deer shouldn't be able to enter now. About 40 peppers, eggplant and okra in the ground, another 40 to go. Spinich is coming in great right in front of the garlic. Carrots the same, I'm still not having any luck with parsnips. Celery, brussel sprouts and tomatoes will go in tomorrow. All potato plants are blooming and look good.
  11. G-Man don't black walnut ruin soil? Little to no gain for wildlife? You purely keep them for income? If so that cool, just would enjoy your feedback on how they affect wildlife.
  12. I wish lol. I've already mowed three times. Grass was halfway up my shin today and I mowed six days ago.
  13. Went out to Bashakill today. Saw three eagles, caught no fish. Had fun used some top water lures, plenty of bites just didn't land them.
  14. No, that's a bit of a ride for me but I will check it out on the way to my cabin, hopefully soon. Thanks for the heads up.
  15. Oh boy so good. Brick oven outdoor pizza and clams posillipo. Giovanni's Inn Wurtsboro NY. Owner has been making pizza starting in queens during the 60's. Had a great conversation, then he took some wild mushrooms he found and gave a magic taste. On cloud nine right now. I've been there four times in two weeks but today was a celebration. My wife went from teacher to assistant principal to principal in consecutive years.
  16. Tried but I don't have Facebook. Good luck though.
  17. Cool stuff. Chef,Carlos, have you guys ever grown this way, versus straight into the ground? Doing about 800 square foot of mostly potato and would like to see the difference between into the ground vs some other techniques.
  18. Couldn't wait for the fence to be installed. Fifteen plants in the ground assortment of peppers, an eggplant with four okra plants. Really hope the deer leave them alone for a couple days.
  19. Went there a couple times when I had a store in Danbury. Very good.
  20. My fault guys my buddy won't be able to snag these, apparently kids swimming lessons are more important then food plot seeds, what a jerk. Thanks for the opportunity Goofiser.
