  1. I think i would give any piebald/albino a pass. I was always told they are as untouchable of an animal as a bald eagle and you let them walk. I have never seen one in person but it would be very cool to see one. But i would never be mad if someone i knew took one unless it was a skipper.
  2. Congrats on retirement and on a very deserving and beautiful gun. Those sights do take some time to get used to when i got my henry 2 months ago it took a good afternoon of shooting until i got comfortable with them. Enjoy your retirement.
  3. I wish they did stuff like that near me. There is alot of stateland with very little feed for any type of animal. Ive always said log out a couple acre pieces bring in a dozer and clean it up and let the farmers take care of it or volunteers and or take care of the fields that have no real value.Just set up a rule you cant sit on it or within x amount of yards from it so you dont have 10 guys sitting on the same open field.
  4. I've never witnessed it but a guy i work with hunts out of the harpursville area and he said last year he had 4 doe in front of him and a very large bear came through. He said all the deer did was watch him for a second and went back to feeding.
  5. All time favortie movie. Wife says it reminds her of me and my friends when we get partying.
  6. Well we got it narrowed down to a round of golf and possibly vernon national for some food and shooting some clays. Then who knows i believe we are going with beg for forgivness than permission moto.
  7. Yes, and ide be fine with what your doing also. But hes been asking for a big party before he gets married. So it will be tea, knitting and maybe some of those cucumber sandwhiches Dinsdale mentioned. And if we have time some zimas but not to many because we also cant get him to tipsy.
  8. Whats weird is she has always been layed back not sure what just changed. I understand the strip club thing but not the rest. We've been hounding him about it for a week straight now. My wife even called her and said she knows we get a little wild when we all get together but we are harmless. Thanks for some of the ideas i got. I will let you know how this goes. Have a feeling us groomsmen will be in a bit of trouble. My wifes in the wedding she just looked at me and said shes playing dumb if she gets questioned on it.
  9. Tried something like that on his wedding when he was 21. Got him drunk put 500 dollars in front of him and said he needed to leave. He didnt listen and that lasted a year. Hoping being 30 it will be different.
  10. I told him ide sign him up for a knitting class but i bet they go later than 8.
  11. I have a buddy getting married in july and the bachleor party has to be on june 30th. And we were informed we have a curfew of 8pm( i know dont ask we through a fit about a curfew) but his future bride said we must be at turning stone at the tinn rooster. So i am looking for any ideas up that way that doesnt involve gambling. We are located out of chenango county. From cheaper golf courses(for bad golfers), paintball, trap or skeet shooting anything outdoors. Oh and we cant go to any strip club or bar. Thanks for the help.
  12. Well no luck this morning. But it was fun brother left me an owl call that he said worked well to find the turkeys on roost so i used that this morning and i had 3 owls respond. So i hit it again and i heard a gobble but that was it nothing after that. But ended up seeing 2 owls and 10 deer so i was happy with that. Try again tomorrow. Congrats to those that got one.
  13. Well been dragging it out for 15 years but im going to take my old box call and try turkey hunting one more time. Not expecting anything only a box call and no decoys. Dont even know where im heading in the am but its better than being in the house.
  14. Congrats to all the kids that got one today.
  15. Thats a great memory to have. Those kids will remember what you did for them forever.
