Thats awesome your taking him. I do tbink kids need to have a certain amount of orange on. And to occupy him maybe print out some pictures of wildlife so he can color them. Thats what i did for my daughters till they got to be 6 or 7. They would see an animal and try to color it so it looked the same. Hoping an example i found shows up

I will also be bringing my h&r single shot 20 gauge with a beaded sight. Its great for the wind and rain. Can shoot it out to 100yrds with ease. So when we get together to start pushing in the bad weather i wont have to run back to the house.

I have a ground blind in a bunch of hemlocks. Im going to spend tomorrow trying to figure a way to get my giant golf umbrella to attatch to my chair or make something so it stands above me in my chair. Ill be on stateland so they will be moving all day wether they want to or not.

30-06 h&r single shot. I havent harvested a deer in a few years with this gun. And since its the youth stock i can carry it all day through some nasty crap.

Well not a good morning. Started rattling around 7 had a doe come in and work her way to 20 yards. I drew on her and noticed a 4point running in and stopped behind her. So i had to stay at full draw when she turned i started moving from her vitals towards him and trigger released striking the doe way back along spine. She took off i could see it got no penetration and fell out after 20 yarda or so. Watched her run for 300 yards then walked away as if nothing happened. Luckily there is plenty of snow at that spot so i could follow her track and find blood. Only spot with blood was where arrow fell out and only thing with blood on it was my broadhead that didnt appear to open. I tracked her for almost 500yards no blood no bed didnt ever jump her so i feel fine saying she will be ok just sore. But i have a firm belief if i wound an animal and cant find it my gear goes up for the rest of which ever season its in. So on to gun season hopefully she comes back and i can redeem myself. Take it easy on me ive been beating myself up since it happened.

Well no luck this am did see a big 8 chasing a doe at 200 yards across a cornfield. My buddy saw little doe but couldnt get a shot.

Well my friend is coming with me in am. Hes had a rough time getting out last 4 years for archery between cancer,new baby, hurt his shoulder and now this year his back. Never shot a deer with his bow so im hoping something gives him a chip shot.

Hopefully with the cold she will come back for that corn and bring him back.

Saw a buck cruising tonight caught me on the draw so hes still alive. But he came back through 10mins later chasing a doe. This is in 7p almost on the 7m line.

Sitting in new spot tonight so i was on the ground. I jumped 4pt on my way in. 415 big 8 comes in 15yards looks away i start my draw he turns and catches me and jumps away. 10mins later comes by at 100mph with a doe. First time in 2 years ive had a chance to draw on a deer. Gotta love bow hunting. Hopefully saturday is good.
