  1. Depending on date I'll try to make it. It's less than 2 hrs for me.
  2. I don't need them but one of my friends uncles that was his favorite gun. Always had it in the window of whatever farm truck he was driving guy could hit a pigeon at 100yrds with that gun.
  3. Don't know why these came off the post. Still trying to locate my one friend's 5 pt picture.
  4. Add another buck to my groups list. Shot today with ML
  5. I would say it's my XOP stand and sticks. Close second would be my elite ritual 33
  6. I won't make this a debate. As everyone does have their right to believe and think what they want. I'm not one to say you need to get the vaccine or push my views on people. It should be the persons individual choice. However I work in an ICU and yes it can be deadly I personally think more people leave with disabilities they didn't once have and I don't believe it is talked about as much as it should be. I've personally put people in body bags from people in their 30s to 90s. Ive helped people who walked in never being sick to not being able to walk or move their arms without help. All different back grounds and health conditions. Data is out there chances of dying is small if you are a relatively healthy person. I've only been in this career field 7 months but the one thing I was very unaware of was the disabilities that come along with it.
  7. No not yet. They turned her away 2 weeks ago because she had a cold then also.
  8. Wife is, I am since I work in an ICU and oldest daughter. My wifes immune system sucks she gets everything that goes around. Still very mild symptoms though so hoping it stays that way. I am lucky if I need any pointers or info I can just call into work and pick one of the nurses or doctors brains on how to help them.
  9. Wife found out Monday she had it. She's layed out flat today, youngest daughter has it. I've scrubbed the house since I got home yesterday and now my youngest is showing signs of it. It's been running through my wife's office. Joked with her that I work and go into covid rooms at the hospital and never brought it home. She goes to her office and brings it home. I'll be scrubbing the crap out of the house again today.
  10. Wife said as much as she loves her Outlander that seats 7 it's just not big enough for her. Looked at a couple other suvs and she didn't really care for them. So we are looking at the Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge grand caravan and the Toyota Siena. 2017 and newer models may go a little older if the mileage is right. Don't really want to buy with the market the way it is but I think we can get a really good trade in on her Outlander right now. It's an 18 with 63k miles on it. So does anyone have a newer style van? Pros and cons on the ones I listed? Thanks for the info in advance.
  11. Just found out PAs late bow/flintlock goes until January 17th and from my understanding my buck tag becomes an either sex tag. Still have to look it up to make sure I'm 100% correct. Looks like I'll give it 1 more try with the bow down there. Last light on last day of gun we saw 3 bucks. So hoping one of them or a doe wants to hit one of the food plots.
  12. Feel better. We are seeing an uptick in it at the hospital hoping it doesn't get to bad after the holidays. Some of the nurses who have worked the entire time during covid are dreading a repeat of last January.
  13. Yes but I also think regardless of moon that midday time frame the bucks like to get up and scent check bedding areas once the does are bedded up.
  14. Yep. I've killed quite a few bucks during that time frame and have seen some of the biggest bucks at that time. This year when I shot my bow buck him and another shooter were on their feet at 10. Also had a buck in PA walk under my stand at 1030 this year as well. My dad swore by the 10-2. More I hunt it the more I like it. Don't usually see many deer but it is usually a buck if you do.
  15. No luck today. We only jumped 1 and I didn't get a good look at it before it was off onto private. Did find a broken off antler in the last spot we were at. It was nice to spend the day with @Enigma again. Might get together again next week depending on my schedule.
  16. Up getting ready. May be my last hunt of the year. @Enigma will be here soon so hopefully we have 1 or 2 down early. Will be heading back to my opening day gun spot.
  17. Getting ml gear ready for tomorrows hunt with @Enigma looks like they are calling for 1-3 " of snow tomorrow.
  18. Sure was and @Enigma and myself went out in it 2 or 3 days later ml hunting. It'll be easier walking this year when he comes down Saturday.
  19. Might get out for a little walk after I drop the kids off to the bus. Want to go put a camera up to let it soak until spring. Just want to see what else is kicking around that patch of woods.
  20. Nope I climb trees 8inches around up to whatever a climber can if not more. One tree I climbed this year leaned almost 30degrees before it straightened out and I went right up it. Also sat in a nasty short little crab apple as well this past year. It just allows me to sit the freshest sign possible. I will say hang-on and sticks aren't for everyone.
  21. Not against them but I can get into just about any tree I want with my hang on. I don't hunt more than 14ft on the majority of hunts. I also hunt alot of nasty swamp/brush lots so there aren't a bunch of good trees to climb with a climber.
  22. Best thing I ever did for my hunting was getting mobile. I used to have the same issue with finding stands. So now I do all my scouting way before the season mark it on huntstand and carry my stand in every time. I have a good system for where everything is so when I get to the tree all I need to do is unhook my sticks attach rope to my bow and I'm up and sitting within 10 minutes. When I get down it all goes in the same way every single time. Eliminated 90% of the errors I used to make.
