    good luck to those on the last day of gun. I'll be out next weekend with @Enigmathen that will most likely be it for me. I may get out during the late holiday hunt but we will see.

    Good day. Weather held off enough to make an attempt at it. We saw 1 doe heading onto stateland while we were heading in. We jumped 1 big deer off a point. Second to last spot we jumped another doe. Then the last spot 1 of the guys jumped 2 bucks and a doe 1 being a slammer but couldn't get a shot. So he swung back to a different spot and got a shot off on a small 5 but brisket shot it. So all in all it was a fun day. Can't wait until next year.

    Up getting ready to head to PA for the day. See how this goes with the crappy weather. I'll update tonight when I get back. It'll be any legal buck like the other times I've been down there.

    Trucks all ready to go minis gas for our last hunt in pa for the year tomorrow. Weathers going to suck be will see how it goes. May do some little drives,split up and still hunt. Just going to need to find some holes with thick nasty crap to keep them out of the wind.

    Just got done looking at the forecast for Saturday. It is not looking good for PA. 60degrees, 80% of rain up to 1/4inch plus a steady wind of 15-20 with gusts up into the 40s. We are still going but it'll be interesting

    Well that's it for my gun season in NY. Never saw anything this morning a bunch of tracks but was nice to be out. Be out Saturday for PA last day. Planned on hunting all day but my dad wants to go out to lunch so that takes priority.

    Up and getting ready for my last rifle hunt of the year in NY. I'm sitting first thing then since we got a couple inches of fresh snow last night I'll go for a walk hoping to catch fresh tracks. I'll be back out again come ml and once more in pa but my season is coming to a close quickly with only 3 or 4 more days left for me to hunt.

    Last week when I was in pa at the top of the mountain. All of a sudden I heard a snap of a stick a little ways off and here comes a mom loaded up with a big backpack and her teenage son. She was teaching him how to track deer in the mountains.

    I haven't seen an increase on public land. It's been about the same for the last 5 or 6 yrs. Some pieces get hit harder than others some years but nothing like it used to be. I think alot of the increase in sold tags are people's wives getting tags and signing them over

    Decent year for me. 2 bucks I've put eyes on 8 different bucks 6 being shooters and 2 came home with me. Don't usually gun hunt much so since the opener I've been out maybe twice. Plenty of season left to fill 1 more tag for my dad and fil. Then off to PA to get that buck tagged filled this weekend. Keep grinding if you still have tags. This is the time of year if I have buck tags left I pick new pieces and hunt/scout for the upcoming year.

    Look at maps. Find what looks like either the most difficult to get to or looks like people will walk right past. Some of my better spots are near parking lots the rest are a mile deep. Very few are in-between them.

    Good luck to those out today. I've been put 3 or 4 times all gun season hoping to get out again Thursday and Friday looking for a doe then Saturday 4 of us are headed back to PA looking for some bucks.

    I would agree that's why if you spotlight a field you will see bucks of all ages laying in them.
