Right place right time from a local shop. I will admit someone I know had 9mm he was looking to get rid of and that’s where half the ammo came from. However 300rounds of blazer 115 only cost me $80 from the dealer. I’ll be going back to by the last couple boxes tomorrow if they are still there. -

Went with a used s&w, between gun, 5 factory mags and 700rds walked out for under $600. Taking it to the range tomorrow for some trigger time.

Well no bird today. Had one on the roost going crazy then he flew down and shut up. We did see 1 hen and 2 unknowns that we tried getting on hoping they were shootable birds but we had a fox come in and scare them off. tried getting access to a private farm that we could see a bird on but their granddaughters were on the way up to try and fill their tags. So we wished them luck and let them know where the bird was hanging out.

Up and ready didn’t sleep much last night same for my nephew. Heading out here soon to get to the ridge the bird should end up on we saw last night. Either way it’ll give us a good listening advantage for other birds in the area.

Found a big lone Tom on private but they always end up on stateland so we have a target for an. side note we found a blonde doe.

Good luck to anyone going out. Hoping I get a phone call in the am from my nephew. If he doesn’t connect I have 2 people plus myself going to roost birds tomorrow night for him. Also have a farmer down the road from my parents who has had 4 big Toms in their meadow I’m going to go see if he will let us chase them around.

If my nephew doesn’t tag out Saturday morning we will be chasing birds Sunday in hopes of repeating last year’s success.

We got about 12”, trees down lost power at 5am no idea when we are supposed to get it back, neighbor has a tree on his house, I had 1 on my lawn. They have a travel ban for chenango county as well. Heard the roads are clear so I’ll try to get my wife and kids to my MIL who still has power.

Just got back from Myrtle beach spent a week down there with the wife and kids. -
Got home last night from a 15hr trip from Myrtle beach to notice my chest freezer tripped the breaker. Lost at least 20lbs of venison or more. Luckily the stuff at the bottom was still frozen to save it. good note I came home to my pistol permit being approved. Time to go shopping.

I saw the same thing hunting one day. That fisher was up and on top of that squirrel before the squirrel even new what it wanted to do. Was insane how fast it was in the trees and on the ground.

Anyone local reload? Have a couple boxes of 30-06, and a box of .243. I don’t reload so if someone can use them let me know. can you ship empty brass in the mail?

Where are you located? I have a 16 but she’s in retirement. Keep it for keep sake since it was my grandpas. I shoot bird shot every now and again from it but I may have some slugs for it still. I can check tomorrow when I get home from work.

Should be getting my permit back within the next month so I’ve started shopping around. I’ve always liked the older style guns especially the 1911s. I’ve been looking around and found a bunch of company’s that offer a compact and sub compact 1911 for carrying. Does anyone have any experience with a carry 1911? thanks for any input given

Was at the Norwich Walmart today and they had Remington nitro turkey rounds in 20 & 12 gauge. 20s were $6/box with 10 rounds they had probably close to 80boxes of them. 12s $8/box. 22lr 325 round for $21/box. Hand full of other ammo at decent prices. limit 3 boxes total per customer per day. I picked up 3 boxes of nitros and going back for more tomorrow.
