    Knock them down today. I'll be heading out to setup a trail camera where I plan to hunt opening day. There is usually a yearly scrape there I'll put the camera over. Bring the bow just in case a fat doe steps out.

    Forgot to mention all the bucks that me and my friend saw today were on their feet from 1030-1200. That's 2 sits in a row I've had bucks around me at midday.

    Back home. Could only hunt until 1 since I was in pa and had to get back. I saw 5 on the walk in had a 4pt come right under me and lucked the tree I was in. I watched him for 20mins grunting and rubbing a tree. Stared at him so hard I was hoping that extra point I needed to be able shoot him would grow. Right before I got down I saw a good buck get out of his bed and bed back down. Friend saw the same 4pt I did and a second spike. We will try again down there at some point.

    Packing the truck for tomorrow's pa hunt. Leaving my house at 5 picking a friend up on the way and should be setup by 630. Nice and cold perfect wind and middle of the week. Hoping something legal comes past so I have a chance to fill my first out of state tag.

    Smell all day. You can sometimes get away with noise. If they get your wind your usually toast. I would say smell,sound,sight

    I have a picture of a 176 with a guy in it. That was sent to me. It is also a typical 10. Doesn't day where it came from but my guess it's the same one.

    10-2 is quickly becoming my favorite time to hunt regardless of the moon.

    Along as everything goes to plan I'll be in pa tomorrow morning on a swamp edge full of scrapes. It will be the first legal buck gets an arrow since my time there is very limited.

    Maybe just change up how you bowhunt? Maybe spot and stalk might re kindle the flame, a different property, maybe recurve? When I get in a new spot it always gets the blood pumping just because of the unknown.

    Yes there can be some big deer taken out of broome County. Just depends on the area like anywhere else. Have the right property you can be in business. I just cant comment directly on deposit area.

    Happy Halloween. My 4 yr old son is already hyped and running around the house. He loves Halloween he's trying to figure out between a transformer and power ranger right now.
