  1. Looks like passanger was replaced recently because it looked brand new and now with another new one on the driver side it should last as long as I own it..
  2. Good luck to all those going out this weekend.
  3. I just posted a couple hours ago asking about the chevy avalanche. Well me and my FIL(who is a mechanic) went and looked it over. Its a southern PA truck which drew me to it. Only bad spot of rust is a rocker panel which they had a new one. Everything works well on it, no dents, tailgate works, tonneau cover is great shape also had the carfax for it which I went through for 15 mins. Put it through the works test driving it and motor and transmission didn't skip a best. So once we got done with driving and talking I decided to buy it. It's older but in great shape and will do what I need without breaking the bank. After taxes, tags, warranty and purchase I'm only out 8200 which gives me a very tiny monthly payment. Time to get some blood in the bed.
  4. Anyone ever own one? I found one that has a little higher mileage but southern PA truck and the price is right in my range. I know not everyone likes them for there looks but I carry more kids than cargo so I don't need a normal pickup. Just one to haul the average homeowner stuff. I got rid of my f150 6 months ago and I realize I can use a truck much more then I realized. So I decided to get a decent older used one that I might drive 5-10k miles a year on. Keep for a couple years before I can afford a newer one. Just wanted opinions from former owners of the truck if someone had one.
  5. I would say tell them no. If anyone that would get injured riding an atv it will be a kid. To much liability to try and be neighborly. I would explain it to them and if they still continue put up a gate. At the end of the day it's the owners say. If he says nobody but you then you need to explain that to the kid and his parents.
  6. I had a stretch of 4 yrs in a row about 12yrs ago of finding lost hunters. The one year I found 1 guy 2 miles from the parking lot after my group did a drive and he had been lost since first light and come to find out his dad was also lost so we had to go find him as well
  7. My hunting buddy sent me a picture from a property he can hunt and it had 5 bucks in the picture 2 10s, 2 8s and a 5. This afternoon he sent me a picture he got from his cell cam at 9am this morning the 5 and one of the 8s had shed their velvet and were posturing each other in the picture.
  8. Your mounts are very well done. Your about 2hrs from me but if I get you may still get a call.
  9. Well good thing about my career change is time to hunt. My schedule is only out until November 7th but I have 23 days off from October 1st to November 7th with only using 1 vacation day. 3 weeks I'm looking forward to the most is. Pa trip 12th-17 21st-28th 31-4 Plus a handful of other 2 or more days in a row and I will still have almost a little more than a week to take off for the rest of the year.
  10. Couldn't tell you the one that I bought when I picked up my elite is rock solid. They might be a different style from what you have. Mine bolts into a slot on the riser designed for their quiver.
  11. Would it be easier to have a list to pick from? Not everyone posts pictures and some may not want their names involved. That way you are guaranteed that your pick will be ok with their name out and can actually find a picture of the harvest?
  12. Pick a hunter post it on the forum we use the sheet you printed out for our own record keeping?
  13. Feels like fall today can't wait for the season.
  14. Yes we found a bunch of bear scat.
  15. Yea that's what we said today. Either way it'll be fun.
  16. Only time that worked for everyone was early season so we will get down there the evening of October 12th and leave Sunday the 17th. Then if people have tags left we will probably go down there opening day of gun
  17. If they are grouping at 40 they are good I wouldn't worry about it. If it's going to bug you just do a little more tinkering.
  18. Tags bought in NY and PA, scouting trip for PA done, all the scouting in NY done, bow shooting good, broadheads flying good, new stand and sticks with mods done. I will double check again before season and put an edge on the heads and will continue to practice with my new setup. Next is wash clothes and let then dry and into a container and hurry up and wait for the season to get here.
  19. Forgot to mention we got down there early to check meadows and we saw 20plus does and fawns along with 1 spike.
