Life membership for a short time is $300 and I think from what I have been reading it is retro active for the people that recently signed up as well. Longisland firearms dot com forum has a current topic on it. Anyone know if this is in fact current? EDIT: I'm seeing $600 if you do it on your own and $300 with a LT sponsor? -

Who wants Yearling Buck Protection with ARs in their area?
Single_shot replied to Meat Hunter's topic in Deer Hunting
It was great in the 70's....deer all over the place. The difference not being pointed out here by Doewacker is that we did NOT have 4 months to shoot deer like now ( I know, exagerated, meant to be) no inline for example etc. that's my point. The season is too long, too many tags and less property to hunt, and less for deer to eat.I don't care what they post in the numbers online(the deer /sq mi is BS..I can show you deep woods areas where you may not see a deer for 2 weeks hunting every day. That same land once had a bountiful selection of deer. What does AR do for that area?- 320 replies

My Great Aunt gave me this out of a magazine.I know not what magazine or whom to give credit to,but it is very good. 1c water 1c sugar 4 lg eggs 2c dried fruit 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 1c brown sugar lemon juice nuts 1 gal of your favorite whiskey Sample the whiskey to check for quality. Take a large bowl: Check the whiskey again to be sure that it is of the highest quality.Pour 1 level cup and drink.Repeat. Turn on the electric mixer;beat 1 C of butter in a large, fluffy bowl. Add 1tsp sugar and beat again. Make sure the whiskey is still OK-Cry another tup. Turn off the mixer. Break two legs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit. Mix on the turner. If the druit gets stuck in the beaterers, pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the whiskey to check for tonsisticity. Next, sift 2 cups of salt.Or something, who cares. Check the whiskey. Now sift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table.Spoon.Of sugar or something.Whatever you can find. Grease the oven. Turn the cake tin 350 deg. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Check the whiskey again. Go to bed. Who the hell likes druitcake anyway?

In a few threads now,I have seen you put down Democrats. So your saying all Dems promote bad things in society? I don't,and I am a registered Dem.I don't always vote Dem.I vote for who I believe to be the better of both evils. You paint 1 party with a broad brush here.Do you think all Republicans believe in the same thing too? I'm just trying to figure out your train of thought here.

You beat me to it....but I could take a few great hunts with that kind of coin.

Had the upper a few years ago...the yucky pink metal juice with sand and metal shavings that weighs 25lbs per 6oz glass. Just pinch your nose shut and don't let it touch your teeth, and don't chew it. My DR will probably have me do the lower next year, pushing 50 here. Not looking forward to it,but it could extend your life quite a bit if they find something.

That was the first thought that came to my mine grow.

Storing Guns - Cocked or uncocked?
Single_shot replied to Elmo's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
I usually just dry fire and store unloaded. My AMD65 is stored with a full magazine attached with the safe off,all I have to do is pull the charger back and let it go.2 other mags are loaded and placed so I can grab them quick if need be.I don't know about leaving clips/magazines loaded long term and the effect it may have on them, but with AK mags there is no problem. Some have been stored loaded for decades with no problems with function when used. -
So true...it kills me to have to wait for sometimes weeks, before I can get up to camp and pull them cards.I used to have to wait till I got home sunday night before I could view them, that was killer too. Having cams out gets you off the duff and out walking in the woods and provides you some insight as to what is going on in your woods.

JOIN THE NRA NOW!!!

When you put it like that, instead of bashing non members with "you don't deserve to own a gun", it makes much more sense and puts me a little closer to jumping on the wagon.I'll have to give it a better look. I just don't want all the bleeding heart letters again along with the other useless mailings and such. -

Your fixed income and retirement is way more than my unemployment of under 300/wk. I have a seasonal job, will start back in the spring and catch up on things....that does not include NRA,sorry, but that's the way it is.My bills are more important.Oh,my anual income, about 25k. Mortgage close to 1k and truck payment 400. -

Now Doc,don't be twisting what I said. That is not what I said, stop beating your chest.I said the rich people, like you.You can afford to pay, pay, pay to the NRA.I choose not to.I buy ammo instead, because there is going to come a day when the NRA will not win and my money will be better spent on ammo. Second of all,you and a couple others here know what you can do with your elitest attitude toward those who do not "belong" to the NRA. -
Since this thread started,I have recieved this http://www.huntingclub.com/gear/field-tested/articletype/articleview/articleid/14421/trail-cam-visor which works great. And a day or 2 ago I recieved an email that this is on the way to test. http://www.realavid.com/index.php/the-gun-tool.html/ should be interesting as I have some deep cleaning to do on several rifles.

I work for a local ready-mix concrete company as a driver.May will be 20 years employed by said company. Growing up,I pumped gas, joined the service, worked in garment factories as a presser, became a class A machinist, tried to sell Kirby vaccum cleaners door to door(man that sucked),tried starting numerous businesses like selling childrens clothing in bulk, and a few other stupid internet BS,was a runner for a rental car agency picking up cars from one part of the state to the other, worked for the local Mack Truck dealership in the parts dept. running for parts and rebuilt motors, and worked for a local tire and auto store doing OTR tire service on call 24/7 with my own company owned service truck for $8.51/hr. When I gave them 2 weeks notice, they pulled me aside and offered $10/hr but keep it quiet.....yeah I kinda flipped out, asking why am I not making that now, before I gave my 2 week notice. EDIT: Forgot armed security/lethal weapons agent
