LI sump buck says thanks to his neighbors. Well seems that a couple of idiots tried to shoot him a few weeks back. Two jerks showed up with a bow to try and shoot him through the fence. Luckily the neighbors saw them and called police as well as running out there to confront them. The sump is located between two houses and they would have had to shoot him from the road. I'm not sure how it ended up but I'm sure it wasn't good for these two jerks!!! If you notice nowhere in my post did I mention that they were hunters. A true hunter wouldn't do that!!

Post up any pics you have of bucks sporting weird racks. This one was killed by my dad and it was the last deer he harvested the last year he hunted. Due to health issues he can no longer hunt.

Problem I have with that is the word "transitional". That would indicate that the people on welfare will transition from being on welfare into the work force. We've seen how that has worked out in the past. I don't have a problem with people needing help but I do have a problem with them being on the "state payroll" indefinitely.

Some years back I met two older gentleman in PA that could do that. One did it with deer and the other with turkeys. It was fun to see. It's no different then the sound of a feeder going off on a south TX ranch. Wildlife gets used to the sounds and the actions that accompany it. They do get used to it.

I don't get the validity of the licenses. They are valid for 365 days from days of purchase. Does that mean they're doing away with the set dates that we have for now? When do you apply for DMP's? I can see this new system being a real mess until they work out the bugs.

I think people get confused with what ethical means. Ethics is a personal belief/feeling. I personally wouldn't have shot all four, one would have satisfied me. The way I see it is legal=ethical. I don't know the hunting rules in MD but if he had tags for them and it was legal then for him it was ethical. I have no problem with that.

There are some good bucks in there. Just have to do your homework and get in deep. Bear population is real good too. Stop in the DEP headquarters on RT. 10 in Walton and speak to the guys in there about the area. They're very helpful.

I gave up on turkey vests a few years back. I strictly use a fanny pack to carry my gear. It's designed with multiple pockets specifically for turkey hunting. It's much easier to get around with and it doesn't restrict you on anyway.

Why don't people research the facts before opening their mouths? It is still open on LI and in Westchester till the end of the year. Besides he didn't even mention where he was hunting. Could be out of state as well.

I'm a big fan of vintage b&w hunting pictures. The gentleman on the driver's side of the vehicle is my great uncle who will be 104 years old this upcoming Feb. The pic was taken in Italy.
