But we went into Afghanistan. we didnt need to, we have plenty of firepower and would have achieved the same objective wihtout spending trillions and killing 2300 americans in the process. What did we accomplish in twenty years? we got rid of Al Quida? ... well do you think that the members of that group arent in the Taliban? or Isis ? Its a mess will be a mess and we need to stay out of there as we have proven we cant fix it. 20 years of research.

We are not stepping into blocking the Russians from Ukraine or the Chinese into Taiwan. There isn't enough threat there for us to jump into WW3. We would denounce it, do sanctions and watch it happen. Regardless of who was elected. Yes I agree though we certainly aren't looking the strongest by any means in many different ways. Collaborators are generally that to help with changing their country and not usually too willing to leave. Other Americans should def have been given the chance to get out but they have been told since last year that we were drawing down and on an exit strategy. And there's if you decide to live in Afghanistan as an American like most middle east countries, your playing with fire daily. I do think they were surprised that it happened as well in basically 48 hours. I don't think anyone predicted quite that quick for the capitol to fall and the president to bail on the country. Most knew it would happen quick but not 48 hours Arab spring quick. But remember Trump did sign a plan to be out by May. It shouldn't have been that big of a surprise if your paying attention. And if I lived there I would for sure pay attention. Terrible for sure, but I don't see Biden masterminding the drawdown himself. I would see it more as asking his generals and advisors how fast can we get out, then make it happen. Plus any administration will look at this as let's not make it a 2 -3 month story, let's get out , it will be messy and then off the news cycle in 5 days. Slow or quick just as many people will suffer unfortunately. See what happened to the Kurds....

Do you think the Taliban wasn't gonna move and push at every opportunity. All waiting does is put our troops more in harm's way. We have been planning and strategizing for 20 years there and never got it right. Dunno why you would think another couple of weeks would make a difference. Hey maybe the post office will get better too in a month cause govt planning always goes so well. Lol.

The evacuation of afghan citizens that want out won't change over a bit longer .... for reference see Syria. It was gonna be messy regardless. Leave a smattering of troops there in harm's way isn't a win either. There is no win in this, it's all a mess. Could it have been better definitely. We could also have 500 of our troops and our embassy surrounded and have to go in and get them with yet more troops. It's no win man. It all.was gonna fall apart the minute we moved.

Bin laden was in Pakistan gonna invade them too? And Syria and Iraq and Iran and Somalia and Yemen and ....... What's the biggest threat right now? China and Russia cyber attacks. Afghanistan isn't the center of the United States threats. Time to get out. And any time we got out was gonna be a mess.

Was just watching an interview with an afghan soldier that was deployed there. His story is all we need to know. He said they met with 4 Afghan leaders and he was very impressed with them and the desire they showed to start getting their country straightened out and to a new start. The meeting ended and the Afghan leaders went out and got into a pickup truck, one of them pulled out an automatic rifle and started firing and hit him and killed one of the others that were meeting with them. Nuff said. We never should have been there. Bin laden spent most of his hiding time in Pakistan. It's just we weren't going in there cause of deeper political issues and they also are a nuclear power. After 911 we def needed to make a response. It should have stopped at the bombings or been more focused on those involved. Then get Bin laden and get out. There will always be another radical or terrorist group to come about. Call them by any name Isis, Taliban , Alqueda, etc.

I think our Intel was fine. Every soldier or intel person I have heard said if we leave the country will be taken over in a maximum of 3 months. But I def agree the plan to get out could have been much better. Either way you were gonna see on the nightly news a mess across that country the minute we went from boots to suits. That country was never gonna be what WE wanted it to be.

We tend to think our way of life is the best way and everyone wants it. And often that is true. But the fact that the overwhelming majority of man's time on Earth has not been under a democracy or a republic. And that most people have not lived this way or understand it or recognize what it is. Man has always wanted to push whatever culture it believes in or lives in onto others. Just because it isn't socialism or communism (yet, lol) doesn't mean we aren't doing the same thing. We can either occupy and take over a country or let it run as their own decide. It can't be halfway. To continue to send Americans to any of the middle eastern countries to me is bad policy. We still need to be able to respond to threats on ourselves as needed. But our military and technology can now represent us without boots on the ground and occupation unless they are storming the shores, which Afghanistan or any of the Stan's aren't capable enough to do. Are we also supposed to occupy Syria, Iran, Iraq, etc. ... Etc.... The outcome will be the same. They are and will always fight among themselves for that sandbox. If they start throwing sand across the pond then we throw back boulders and stop it if we need to.

I have only read part of this but I am sure I am probably in the minority. But to me it is long over due for us to get out of there. The fact that at anytime we left it wasn't going to be a mess isn't blame it on someone it's just a fact. They have been fighting there longer than all of us and our ancestors have been around and will be fighting long after. 20 years is not only enough, it was too much. We can't police them forever , it's not our country. Trump also wanted us out of there. And would have as well if he were in office. Only blame here is the afghan forces and leadership and people themselves. In every civil war there will be winners and losers. It is all messy. But to send our troops over there to be their police isn't right and hasn't been in the other middle east countries either. I am sorry for the brave troops that have fought there and died there. But it is fight you cannot win without the country wanting it. This has been proven over and over again. Do you stay for another 20 years? All we can do is if acts of agression to the US occur is to hold them accountable to get those that have done it or face us bombing them flat and never put boots on the ground there again. It's a tragedy to many of the poeple there but there is no way this wasn't gonna be a mess in 10,20,30 or 40 years. I am far far from a Biden fan and I think they botched a lot of how this could have went, but it had to happen. And when Trump was going to do it , it was still gonna be a mess. It isn't blame to place , it's cultural differences in a part of the world that mostly hates us and our way of life. We can't keep crusading and forcing it upon people that don't understand it or won't fight for it themselves. I for one am glad we are out

Out today prepping some stands. Got three totally done and one about 1/2 done. Cut trails into the stands that grew in, trimmed shooting lanes, replaced top straps. Our stands sure are tucked in. The one by the swamp I trimmed it all up but think I want to move it. Only about 20 yards but to a spot can see both ways on the trail. Crab apple trees are loaded. Got 3 out of 9 stands completely done for season so good morning and start. First three pics are 2 views from "Roadkill stand" and then the stand tucked in. Then next two are views from the "Pine tree" stand . Last two pics are of the "Swamp stand" and then a view from it.

Put in another food plot area in a trail this morn. And pic of area we did three weeks ago is growing like crazy. That prob it for work there for a couple of weeks and then we will start trimming shooting lanes for all the stands and put on new straps. Unless I decide to go tomorrow too. Lol. Last pic is the 9ft stand we have tucked in by the area we put in food plot. Can you find it?? Lol. It is buried in there. Also took down one treestand we are going to replace it next time out. Season is coming,!

my guy out here is in his late 70s and takes in only a dozen deer a year and i am not even sure if he is doing any at all since my last time i went to him was 2018. Now I am no two buck Larry by any means but I would 100% make the trip to WNY and drop off a mount should i get one. Your work is amazing
