Got the buck back from processer. Took this one in, cut up the doe on my own. Marsh mill in Bridgeport does a great job. So mixed up 12 #s of smoked sausage. Used Amish smoked sausage spices, added in a few shots of liquid smoke and 1/2 an Octoberfest. 12#s of cracked pepper and jalapeno sausage. Used Amish cracked pepper sausage seasoning, a bunch of diced jalepenos and 1/2 a bottle of green Tabasco. Those will sit til tomorrow . Then fry a couple small pieces to taste and then case them. Also made 10 #s of bacon burgers. Freezer should be in good shape.

Hunt #20 light -9:20. 7F wayback stand. Haven't hunted this stand yet. Didn't see anything. Buddy was 500 yards away this morn and didn't see anything he pulled card from cam over there and last night this big boy was right there in daylight at 4:40 pm right by our scrape dripper. Looks like a nice 9. Damn he should've been there last night. Close. Would've been a shot for sure right there .

Venison steak and eggs. Double bionic'd. Cow rub on the steak potato topping on the eggs.

Well at.least.u didn't make a.bad.shot. hang.tight he might be back around . Too bad there isn't tracking snow you could go after him. Cool encounter. I hope one time to see a.bear while hunting. Gonna try next week up in Lewis co

The lawn will be covered in snow soon and you won't ever see it. Hunting season goes by too quick. No one ever mounted lawn clippings on the wall or put them in their freezer. (Except maybe Biz) Good luck . I would hunt that spot right away while it's being used. Ive moved a stand late season a couple years ago and shot two deer out of it in the last week of bow. Dunno bout the scat. We have zero bears around here. Seen it in the Dacks a few times but not with pine cones. Maybe someone was out there without toliet paper and used those. Ouch. Lol

Hunt #19 11/4. 2:30-dark. 7F lease pine tree stand. Didn't see anything. Warm enough to sit without a jacket. Crazy for Nov. On the way out by groundblind there was either a yote or a small deer. But pretty sure it was a yote. Will have to check cam tomorrow.

I'd hunt it right away while it's hot. The blind not the poop.

Out in 7F. Tried to find a spot thats least likely to have a buck walk thru. Lol. Looking for a big fat nanny doe. But of course I have the ultimate big buck attractant there is ....a punched buck tag! So anytime I expect a monster. Too nice not to be outside and I'm not racking leaves on a vacation day.

Lol. Totally agree. I ask myself why why....Everytime I do look here. It's the Trainwreck you can't look away from. I usually go a few weeks. But even when I put in something fairly benign it gets jumped on I'll be back in a few weeks to check in and see who the president is. It might be decided by then. Lol

Although your rebuttal of #garbage was brilliance and almost changed my mind, I instead realized the facts that both sides - which most people understand is Dem and Rep, have been positioning themselves for a close election and to claim fraud and just push it to the court. Warm or not I would be out there. Rutty bucks will still be moving. Also warmer temps make all day sits a lot easier. Prob early and late will be best but this is the time of year . Crazy how warm it is. Was gonna go north and try a little gun buck/ bear hunting but gonna wait til next week.

Pulled a cam in 6S that has been out since late August. Not a lot of bucks but a couple good ones. Won't hunt there now til after gun season. I only hunt there during bow or muzzleloader. So hoping one of these is there if I still have a buck tag by late season.

This was the first trip over and there was hardly anyone fishing. I have heard of a few quick limits on Oneida Diehard site, but they def weren't packed in there today. Yesterday was prob the day after that hard west wind. Good luck, hope your getting some.

Both sides have been priming a "rigged election" for last two months knowing it was gonna be close. Dem or Rep whomever loses was taking this to court and claiming it was rigged. They've been setting it up for months on both sides.

Warm or not I would be in the stand. It's go time! Thanks though for sure!!!!!. Warm, and late in bow season means it's just easier to sit longer. Go get that big un buddy! I've got a couple plans in mind. I might be taking a couple days in northern tier with the gun and look for a buck or a bear . Haven't done that in a long time.

Lol. I did . At 4 am. Went to the wall and made 10 casts. Decided it was cold and coffee and breakfast sounded better. Wind wasn't in the right direction but thought I would try it. Could prob land a couple with some persistence but in the fall I just go there and you know in ten casts if they are stacked or not. I put boat in storage on sat before I shot my buck so that's out of play. Didn't know it was gonna be 70. Lol Gonna sit for an afternoon doe today. Have to pick up a trail cam ive had out since first week in Sept. Haven't hunted this stand so will pick that up give this spot one sit for the year just cause.

Hash and eggs this morn. Gonna make some sausage today. Feels good to have a day off.
