If this written map is lined up with W-E and N-S, I like the west edge of the long L shaped ridge to the east of blind #2 . To have a treestand or blind just up the edge of that long L shaped ridge and being able to see to my west and also along the bottom of ridgeline on both sides and pinch point between the ridge and Creek if there is a saddle there that's even better. And I would hunt it on a West wind. But tough to determine without walking it. Setup your spots based on Intel you get, deer sign and wind direction. I've had spots I've hunted for years and still move stands around at times. It's one of the best parts of deer hunting is figuring out the puzzle.

gators work great for hauling deer!!!! But def not a trail rider. Top speed is 20-22. Plenty of speed for me as was using it for stands etc. what i liked about it was the larger bed. Some of the side by side have no room in the back.

i had my bow buck sent for a Euro locally. Havent done one before. Was gonna send out to grampys place but gonna try this local place and the GF got me a nice plaque a couple years ago that i plan on mounting it too. Thought about doing a dip myself but with the plaque just going to do that. Although since I got it on Halloween a black and orange would seem appropriate. lol

Just remember as I tell people that don't hunt and ask me "how can you kill or shoot a deer?". That a deer getting shot from a hunter is prob the easiest way that animal has to pass. Otherwise when they do go, they starve, freeze, fall thru the ice, get hit by a car, disease, injury etc etc. None of it is as quick and and as painless as a shot from a hunter. And the fact you appreciate the opportunity so much says a lot about you. Glad you got the chance and the experience. It makes you appreciate it even more.

Now this is a well timed anniversary. On a hunting forum in November. My buddy had his wedding anniversary this week. And I ask him every year....who the hell gets married in the rut???? congrats on the buck! nice one. I had that same thing happen in 2018. Shot a buck - went to go find it and there is a buck pacing back and forth. At first i thought it was the one i shot. But i snuck up tot within 40-50 yards and he trotted off and there my buck lay. I think he was trying to figure out why he wouldnt get up to spar!

Don't over think it. Your not shooting in a competition with Levi. Range some areas your hunting around and send it within the ranges you feel comfortable with. Be more sure of taking a slow shot and staying on aim. If the distance is 24 and you shoot for 22 the deer is dead . The broadhead will do it's job. Misses aren't because your off angle by a couple of yards. It's because you jerked the trigger, dropped your bow arm, were peeking before you shoot etc. Unless your 30 foot in a tree you will be fine. If your trying to shoot out 50 yards downhill then it might be an issue. Send it without panic and overthinking, you got it
