Wasn't gonna fish and awake at 4:15. Might as well fish. Limit by 7:30. Same spot a little slower bite but still good. Next week is 90+ everyday, might as well catch them while I can.

I am sure it will slow down real soon , esp after this week it seems it would have to. Def been a great year of fishing. Trying to beat Bizs 1000 inches of antlers goal with a 1000 inches of walleye ! Lol

I have zero interest in pounding them anymore. 5-6 beers thru the weekend is good for me. Always one while cleaning fish and if grill is going.

Wasn't gonna fish. Wide awake at 4:15. Might as well fish. Limit by 7:30 and some white perch. Lost a couple of decent eyes and 3 shorts back in.

Took some time after fishing to get trail cams ready. Coolest weekend around end of month or 1st of August will start putting them out.

Boat limit by 8 am. Had to wait for fog to lift so we fished by shore for a few minutes and caught some pickerel. Breeze came up and cleared fog so away we went. Got to first spot and they were hitting everything. We threw back a bunch as well. Buddy's son got the biggest one of the day. Corey threw out a sonar while we were slow trolling just messing around and got one second cast. Can't get over the bite out there right now. Next week is supposed to be 94-95 all week. That's prob gonna bust the bite but this lake has never been better! We often had 2-3 poles going at once. Whoever had a fish had to clear that net quick for the next one. 21-25 FOW.

Lol. Yeah hate not to be on the bite when it's this hot though. Next week it's supposed to be 94-95 all week. That can sure put the walleye down. We tend to be about done most years by Aug 1 anyway. Then pickup a few more in the fall in late Sept or off shore in October at night.

My pup hates them for sure. And i live right where I can watch them from my backyard from Sylvan beach.

I'd tell you guys to meet us at the launch at 5am tomorrow, but we both said we are taking a break tomorrow. Last two morns of 4am gonna take a day off. I think. Lol

We were throwing them back just to fish an extra 1/2 hour. This lake is so chucked right now it's amazing. Today's catch my buddy took em who is full time military and he's giving them to a guy at work for his family. So can't think of a better way to go than filling a veteran"s freezer on the 4th of July!!

Dunno .....another day another boat limit. By 8 am. They were hitting everything.

I posted my old boat and in 15 minutes had an offer for the full price without looking at it. They wanted my bank info to send the cash too. Told them I would meet them and they could bring me the cash. Didn't hear back of course. Knew it was a scam.

Prob hoping the wind carries him to shore somewhere and has enough beer that he doesn't care

I and some others think the zebra mussels. They seem to have cleared the lake up and also provided more of a food source for small minnows and then along the food chain to the walleye. In the fall it seems like you can walk across the minnows in the canal at times there are so many. Cornell and the DEC say there are a million walleye in the lake and aren't even stocking any fry this year. I think the combo of 3 fish limits of 15" , DEC stocking, zebra mussels all have made it such a good run. Last year was great too but this has been the best I've seen and I've lived here all my life. That being said if your a bass fisherman I don't think it's as good as it was even 3-4 years ago. When we bass fish we have caught a lot less and lots of guys I know that bass fish say they catch as many walleye when they are bass fishing as bass. There are now gobies in the lake too and that might contribute but I have yet to see a goby in a walleye or see one spit one up. Whatever it is the lake is amazing right now. So many guys coming in with limits. Dec just sent out a survey asking what people think of changing the limit back to 5. I actually hope they don't cause it is so good right now that whatever they have done sure worked so don't change a thing. And it seems most locals agree. And I can't figure what other lake in NY (other than Erie) can support that 5 walleye limit. The whole state should be 3 IMHO.

3 man limit today. 21-26 FOW worm harnesses. Oneida lake has never been better.

That and if Trump doesn't get re- elected all happen in the fall it won't be pretty.

He does too. He has a beer closet at home in his basement area. Which is his mancave. And then they get to try a lot of micro brews that come thru. And go to some micro brews for tours. Lots of sales winnings too... Canoes, trips, coolers, etc...he has done well there. He is perfect for that job too. A few of us from college did an annual fishing trip for like 20 years. He and his dad came up and their boat was filled with beer to the seats. Lol. Well over 20 cases.

He offered me a job there years ago iworking on his team. A decent salary and a company bud or monster van lol. I told him I am not really a salesman and he said ...."it's beer, it sells itself." I just didn't want to move out of state.

Got a buddy that works for anheiser Busch. They insist they drink at meetings. Why don't I work there again....
