The mayfly hatch here is the biggest in over 12 years so I've been hearing. Lots of them floating on the lake. Making the bite a little tougher. Everything here is feeding on them.

Def yellow. The white ones are going in the skunk trap Tonite .

Took today off cause weekend looking rainy. Did well. We didn't boat limit but plenty for sure to clean.

update - he shot it and loves it. New Diamond Provider.

Doesn't look good for fishing this weekend.....storms sat and rain sun am. Hoping they are wrong boat is ready

Tell him best paired with a PBR. Lol Sounds great. Love fish tacos. I made a slaw with jalapeno a couple of weeks ago to put in some fish tacos. Good stuff.

yes. Took a huge down in my front yard last summer. Hated to see it go but the inside was rotten and tons of holes in it. Every year the whole front lawn would be filled with white flowers that fell from it.

yup thats what i was seeing. We started out at 38 on the channel edge and we got one hit and werent graphing much of anything. Def had some eyes on the graph in 27-29 in spots but not many takers. But could def see minnows all over and some chasing. Guessing a lot of suspended fish. Usually the bite is good right thru July but will have to see. Once they suspend and have weeds floating everywhere its tough. Cant troll harnesses or sticks without weeding up and have to run different depths. People talk a lot about the weed walleye bite in like 14ft in mid summer but i sure havent perfected that yet, casting harnesses and bringing them slow along the weeds. Will be out again next weekend and its supposed to cool down so hoping they are biting.

Was hoping to get my buddy and his son on them like yesterday but it just didn't happen. Never saw another boat with the net out either. Def a tough day but everyone caught a fish or two. The perch we did get were huge. It got hot quick without even a little breeze out there so we came in. But it's still fishing. Saw a lot of minnows and chasing when we were leaving. Thinking maybe they were higher in the water and pounding those minnows.

Tough day for us today. Never really got on them and left early. Not a wisp of a breeze we were cooking like sausages on the grill out there. Didn't see the net come out on a single other boat either. But a couple at least. Def not like yesterday.

Boat limit of eyes by 8am. Slow for first hour then found em. 27 fow. Nice size and a couple good perch. Oneida has been amazing this year, hoping it continues. Usually August is over for me and can't find a bite so get em while we can. Then a swim for Charlie after , it's his birthday.

Last month had snow on the ground. This month the grass is so dried up it's crunchy. Hasn't rained here according to the news in 15 days.

Not fishing but live from the water. Charlie's birthday today so we went for a swim.

After fishing breakfast. Cheesy grits and cracked pepper and jalapeno sausage. Bionic tater topping and some green Tabasco and eggs over. Gonna be nap time after I believe

Lol. Well always two of us at least so we split. Plus mom etc. And remember I didn't get a deer this year so have to make up for it. Funny I tell my buddy pick which day your taking fish before we go......choose wisely. Lol. Lately it's been Everytime we go out we limit so both days are good. He is taking fish tomorrow cause he is bringing his son. So we are hoping for a three man limit. I will trade some of those limits for your deer season buddy. You killed it.
