  1. if they are huge and starting to split - can pick them and let them ripen in the window. They will still ripen just stop growing. And a good recipe for you.... slice a green tomato, egg wash and bread crumbs and fry it. then a piece of canadian bacon/bacon on it, an over easy egg, and some hollandaise sauce. A version of eggs benedict with a twist.
  2. i actually liked the weekend opener much better - really wished we had it back when we had our deer/fishing camp. Most of us were chomping at the bit to get hunting and had to wait til Monday and usually not everyone could get the day off. Drinking and playing cards was fun but could still do that after hunting for the day. Esp having Fri, Sat and Sun night to wait. By then we just wanted to get out hunting. and then we got one day and had to go back to work.
  3. for that reason. Its so communicable. Unless needing immediate medical attention they tell you to go home and quarantine and get tested from your car. Most people that get it dont need hospital attention and they dont want you there to spread it to staff and others if it isnt a serious case. Plus you dont get an immediate result you have to wait a few days to get results anyway. So they want you to isolate yourself as best as possible.
  4. i think its because the hospital doesnt want to get overwhelmed with testing. If everyone that thought they might have it or want to get tested went to the hospital it would just be a mess. They are saving staff for treatments etc. Just like bloodwork is done at a seperate testing location.
  5. go on your county website - most of them have Covid info on testing and where to call for one, or have his primary send him for one.
  6. Damn Jay . Good stuff on a Tues night. After the heat and work my dinner was a pickeled egg and a little dish of Mac salad and I didn't even care if I ate that. All that looks great. I would need a minute alone with that desert.
  7. No one seems to really know. World health organization comes out today and says it is likely more airborne than they thought and it's possible it goes thru air systems. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna1233077
  8. Check this spice blend out.https://www.waltonsinc.com/hawaiian-sausage-seasoning or this onehttps://www.waltonsinc.com/pineapple-bratwurst-seasoning Walton's has a ton of sausage spice blends and usually can find info on site for recommended mixes for wild game.
  9. I saved a recipe for this too, just haven't done it yet. Looked awesome
  10. used to do a lot of that. Beautiful place to be! Never was much of a jig guy - used to use small husky jerks, small spinnerbaits, Zara Spooks and senkos. Topwater bites were always the ones you hoped for cause it was so fun.
  11. Snakes climbing trees, huge unidentifiable mushrooms.....more signs of the apocalypse? That snake would've weirded me out and I might have burnt down the forest! Lol
