does anyone know what brought on the boom in coyote populations? Just curious. I remember years ago never saw any around. Return of turkey numbers?

Biggest one I've gotten was 43" on a stick bait. But have caught many good ones burning spinners. About as fast as you can real them usually.

best northern pike hit of my life - 39.5" northern hit a buzzbait and came completely out of the water! These spinners will look great ripping over a weedbed!

Def. That was great. Never even thought u could fillet them like that. Too stuck in the old skinning them style. They were def good too. Tacks cooked em up right! And I always pack a good bullhead jig! Must have in the box.

Corona Virus Thread
Robhuntandfish replied to Al Bundy's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
a side effect of Corona I hear is Lyme disease! -
There is a ton of stateland in Lewis county which is not far outside of Watertown. Unfortunately there isnt a ton of deer. Deer hunting is pretty tough up there although there is a decent bear take near croghan/Watson area. Def would use the early muzzleloader season as an advantage. I have family in Adams but they don't own enough land for hunting. For areas of decent deer numbers might want to look to the st. Lawrence county area as if I recall deer numbers are better there. I have also heard that fort drum itself has hunting opportunities there. For waterfowl or geese there are a lot of ponds in Lewis county that are public. My SIL has family that own farms in lowville area but also a large family that is big on hunting.
