Corona Virus Thread
Robhuntandfish replied to Al Bundy's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I heard this morn on talkradio - Glenn Beck -that there are only 5 "confirmed" cases in the US but there are 62 more being evaluated. One of the concerns with this is that even if your not having symptoms you can still spread it. And a 10 day incubation period. -
Happy birthday!!

Happy birthday! -
Saw one of these on an outdoor show , looks like a lot of fun. The guy was yelling " I want to do this everyday!"

Apparently when u buy a tracker you also get 10 - 20 percent off all Bass pro purchases for a year as well. Was reading thru the paperwork. Pretty cool perk. Dunno if that's guns and all but will ask when paperwork and delivery is done in a few days. They are going to store it for me too in shrink wrap til spring.

Thanks guys. Tough time to sell but good time to buy for sure. I ended up trading in. And have always had a boat since I was 14. My folks had a party barge and always went out for perch when we camped on the st Lawrence. I got myself a 10ft Jon boat for $50. Had leaks all over it that I fixed with metal from road signs, a lot of silicone and a pop rivit gun. Lol. Put a troll motor on it and took it out. Caught some monster walleye in that. Even hooked a musky once. I was there camping for 10 days and every day came in with a 6-9 lb walleye in my little boat. After 5 days of that had three boats following me out in the morn. Lol. .

Sorry to hear Otto. RIP Big Bill. Sounds like a great buddy to have. An older friend of mine that I idolized when I was a kid passed this last year. Giant of a man and taught me how to catch walleye on Oneida. Sent his favorite lure with him. Today is tough to handle but you will always remember the days out in the field and the good times and laughs after.

saw one of the hunting shows - think it was an early Bone Collector where they had a bear come into the camp at night and one of the guys shot it with a pistol out of the tent flap. -

Field Dressing Preference - Do you split them?
Robhuntandfish replied to monahmat's topic in Deer Hunting
shot a big doe years ago and thought i was gonna drown with it for a minute. Went across a fairly fast stream and dragging it thru the current it wanted to take the deer and me with it. Dragged that thing from a long way back and got to my buddy who was hunting close to road. I said - "couldve used some help - didnt you hear me shoot? " He says yeah i thought you missed! lol . Well he was right for the first two shots..... -
I did a trade in which was def less than selling it outright but it kinda worked out. As there is a discount cause it was last years model over this years, a spring discount and $500 bass pro card. So it makes up the difference. And they gave me a fair trade. It was pleasure dealing with them, two days and they had info and trade in offer all together. A place i was looking at a lund couldnt get it together in three weeks! If the one model better had a little different seating i prob would have went for that one as its deeper and wider and more HP - but this should suit me just fine. Plus i need to get a brush hog this spring too! And if I went any bigger Andrew would make me go on the big lakes with it! lol Long wait til spring now for sure. Might have to go to Utica Bass pro just to visit it over the next two months! I like the rear seat in the floor is in the middle of boat (passenger seat will go there), I dont like the double seats in rear, and most boats in this size have a portable tank and this has a 12 gallon inside it. Its also 5" wider and 5" deeper than my old boat. Not planning on taking on 6fters so should be fine. autopilot troll motor is gonna be a game changer. Only issue is these come as a package deal only so had to buy the troll motor i wanted seperate and will have to sell the one that comes on it. But thats ok.
