  1. I've been thinking of making a chorizo and roasted red pepper sausage. Prob a winter project.
  2. I have been dying for some lobsta. It's been a while. Thinking Xmas gonna have to get some. Looks awesome.
  3. Do you feel the same about wild turkey? (The meat not the drink)
  4. Where the hell is @Nomad Hasn't logged on in two weeks in the busiest part of deer season? Seems odd and out of character to me and I am hoping all is ok... Dunno if anyone has his # to check on him. Maybe I'm just a worrier but my gut tells me to.
  5. White meat. But enjoy turkey more for sandwiches than the actual dinner. Right now we are having white meat IN the dark. Power went out, just as we were eating. Glad everything was cooked in time.
  6. Hunt #39. Light -10:30. Scrapetree. Nothing seen. Pulled cam card there and no deer since Sunday . Took out the old 94 Winchester 30/30 for some luck but it didn't work out. Not sure about tomorrow. Weather is looking rough. 35+ mph wind gusts and lake effect. Will see what it looks like in the morn.
  7. Out for a sit with the old 94 Winchester for some luck. Good luck everyone.
  8. Happy Thanksgiving folks! Enjoy the day with family, eat too much, take a nap, eat more pie, and be thankful.
  9. Congrats! Great buck. That might be the biggest here this year. Good mass too
  10. Hunt #38 scrape tree stand. 10am -dark. Never saw a single deer. I know there is a couple of bucks close. Couple of big 8s and a 7 I have been around all season. Seen him 4-5 times in bow. Pulled a couple of cams on way in. Pick of me and Corey carting out his doe from Sunday. And a new 6 pt.
  11. We are def behind the 8 ball on bucks this year my friend. Hopefully that changes for both of us. We have both been almost tripping over them but never out at the right time or place so far. Good luck in the morn.
  12. The answer to this question was - dark. Had a long time to think about this and I figured the guys that say they always kill bucks between 10-2 and talking about 10pm and 2am.
  13. Neither. No nap and no buck. No deer at all yet. Not even noise in the brush......
  14. A crisp 18 degrees made me think breakfast sounds good. Going out today from 10 am til dark though. Hash browns, bacon and scrambled eggs with pepper jack.
  15. Your zeroing in on him. He looks like a Thanksgiving week buck in the truck to me! Good luck
  16. The property I hunt has none of these. So it would depend on the location. If hunting straight hard woods then yes probably.
  17. Looks like a nice course. Got my golf bag ready for my sunrise tee time.
  18. Yeah nice buck. Reminds me of the buck I named a few years ago.... Big 10 point my buddy shot at. So I named it the "Par 5 buck". Cause he shot at it 4 times and never got it. I figured it must be a par 5. Yeah he loved that. Lol.
  19. Nice. A hunting/cooking show I watch the guy did this and made a Wellington with this cut. He also had a layer of chopped mushrooms and onions inside. Then cut it like you would lollypops. Looked great.
  20. Now that is a deal! Will do my best to get it done. Be back out all day tomorrow!
