I'm in the swamp stand. And wow it was deep. Short so for tonight close by .

Took a better look at these and this I thought was the same 5 we had earlier is actually a 7. Going out for a short sit in a close spot Tonite. Low 9ft stand in these 20 mph winds again. Have to work tomorrow so just a short sit then back at it wed night thru Sunday. But this spot has 2 new scrapes.

Bump for picks reminder. Get em in before midnight. Next week is gonna be a stack em week. Just gotta pick the right person. I think Lawdwaz was paid off to tell people he's sick then went out and dropped a slammer as we all had him in our bullpen for next week. But it's only conspiracy theory at this point. Lol.

Hunt #18 point stand light -10;15. Long walk all around the property to get to this stand in the right wind. And got that feeling like I shouldn't be here in this bucks living room. Got to end of the trail looking back towards where I was sitting yesterday and there is a big deer at 250y. I have 30 yards to go to get to stand so have to wait there til he moves a bit. Glasses are fogged over. So finally looks like he has head in brush and make my move and get in the stand. But looks like he was working his way the other way down the trail of course. This buck is now known as "Check Buck" . He earned a name. Seems like I am one move away from getting a shot at him all the time. If I had been in the other stand my wind would have been all over him and prob would've busted me coming in. Pulled 3 cam cards and this buck is on all of them. He is everywhere. Also looks like a other smaller 8 and the 5 I also have had a picture of. Things are looking up. New rubs and scrapes all around. Got Thurs-sunday off next week and cooler temps, less rain and xbow opener hopefully turn into a buck down. Also saw a pheasant on the way out.

Tried it the other night but it was so windy don't think he could hear it. This morn was just a mess. I was stuck in the trail and glasses fogging up. Prob should've just backed out but think I made it to stand without him knowing. Plus he was 250 yards away by then.

I'm in hoping he comes back this way but doubtful.

He did my euro last year. Will pm you my guys info too Fletch. He is awesome. Prob is he is semi retired and only takes in 12 deer a year now. But he is great. But can't go wrong with wny seems well worth the drive and I was thinking if I get one prob calling him if my guy is retired now.

Never too soon! Good pic. Lots of bucks dropped but no scoring so far for the week. Maybe tomorrow!

Hunt #17. Scrapetree . 3-dark. Didnt go this am in rain and 20 mph winds. But hit the afternoon. Felt deery for sure. Had two big does cross the trail at 70 yards (in pic little hole up the trail) Then one right in from of Roadkill stand on the way out. Too dark to tell if buck or doe had to wait 10 minutes for it to clear the field before I went thru. Pulled cam card at scrapetree where I've been getting pics of the 8 and where I saw him 2 nights ago at 125 yards. We are def playing cat and mouse. He likes my scrape and dripper I have there. Visited it twice the other night. Only have tomorrow to hunt and wind is moving to the west so gonna have to change stands a couple hundred yards away.

Hunt #16 3:15-dark. Groundblind Started off in scrapetree but it was too windy to be in that tree. Moved to groundblind. Didn't see anything. Pulled cam card but something not working with cam , not a single pic. Disappointing for sure.

Wanted to be in the same stand as last night. But a 260# idiot in a 9" poplar with 20+ mph wind gusts and the math for me wasn't good . Lol. So in the ground blind on the edge of Big Sixy area. In this spot lone does are also in play.
