Congrats, 80 acres is pretty big. Too bad they won't let you use a gun. I use a shotgun for deer on properties less than 10 acres, shooting away from houses.

I checked out the red carpet parade on 42nd street today right outside my office. Every single player from both leagues was in their own pickup truck with their family/friends.

I got the answer: The Boone and Crockett Club does not accept antlers in “velvet” for entry into the Awards Programs and/or records books unless the velvet is removed before official measurements are made. Remnants of velvet are permissible as long as they do not affect any measurements.

Totally off topic, but has there ever been a case where somebody shot a record book deer out of season using a nuisance permit?

There's some idiot who hunts with a bow behind my parents house, barely 2 acres. He hunts from his backyard and is like 175 yards from my parents house and 1 other house. The deer he shoots always run onto other people's property and down the roads, etc. He never worries about asking for permission to enter somebody's property till after he shoots the deer.
