  1. +1. I haven't bought a license in any state in person in many years. I do everything online. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  2. Awesome pics. How come they don't have the trail cam borders? Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  3. Awesome videos. How high up is your cam? Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  4. Haha. I am a real person. I met shawn last year through this site when I offered up my dmp tag for 3N to whoever wanted it. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  5. Where u doing this? Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  6. 167 yards. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  7. Agreed, 100% Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  8. I have never hunted out of a treestand. Hoever, mathematically-speaking the higher you go, the smaller the kill zone gets. I'm sure you can look it up, but I would guess 12'-18' is ideal if you want to be in a treestand.
  9. "According to 911 recordings, Zimmerman was heard saying "If he dies, he dies.", just before pulling the trigger". -Ivan Drago (Sunnyhoody Times - Sanford, Florida)
  10. Good luck man. I'm in the same boat as you right now. Definitely walk the land, set up cams, and ask the landowner where he/she sees deer, etc.
  11. Haha still never saw that show. Unfortunately, no hunting on Sundays in CT, so I can only really hunt Saturdays. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  12. Yea, I hear you. Thanks. I'm itching to check the trail cam I put up there. Gotta hold out for 3 weeks lol.
  13. Yes, they are sick of the deer ruining their plants. However, I am not hunting for free. I did pay $500, so I will probably try to get 3 bucks (2 with xbow, 1 with shotgun) before taking 3 does out.
  14. I'll be honest, I haven't read any of the 7 pages of this thread. However, here's my opinion on the topic: What went on before Zimmerman and Martin began fighting is clearly debatable from both sides. However my opinion below is only based on once they started fighting: IF Zimmerman truly felt he might die that night, it was him or Martin who would die that night. IF I was in the same situation and truly felt there was even a 1% chance that I might get killed, I would much rather take my chances on trial for murder than already be dead and buried.
  15. This is where I saw 2 bucks and set my camera. Im thinking of sitting 30 yards from this bottom on a steep incline looking down. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  16. Yes, I've had a lot of success with doe bleat calls. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  17. Thanks all. I will be hunting from the ground, as always. I am a huge believer in scent control, I shower non scented, all my clothes are non scented, I don't bring stinky foods or drink coffee when I hunt. I have never used scents as attractants and doubt I will start. The area that looks best to me to hunt is like a creek bottom, its very moist down there with lots of cover. Seems to fit the description you guys describe. It's fairly close to corn fields that I can't hunt. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  18. Plenty of threads for that discussion. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  19. During archery, yes. Anybody can use them in January in zones 11&12. However, its possible anybody can use them during archery in CT if the law changes before the season starts. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  20. Yes, I was approved by CT. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  21. Never heard of the owners looking for hunters thing. Thx. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  22. Yes, they signed the consent form allowing me to hunt deer and turkey with crossbow n shotgun. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  23. Ok, that's what I thought. Thanks. Hopefully I get some on camera. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  24. But, it appears I did all the paperwork for nothing. Looks like xbows will be legal in CT during archery season for everyone. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
