  1. Cool, thanks. Not sure if the trail cam buck looks a little bigger than the buck I shot though.
  2. Looking back at trail cam pics, I think this might be the deer I shot. I hunt an 8 acre piece of property. The trail cam pic was taken less than 100 yards from where I shot my deer, and on the same exact trail. The trail cam pic shows the deer heading in the direction of where I was sitting when I shot the deer. One other buck I got lots of pics of was a spike, which I saw opening day with my 4pt. and my Dad has seen the spike a few times as well. This makes me believe this 4pt. is the same and they were both local residents. Same Deer? This is my first year using trail cam pics. Thanks.
  3. Nevermind. Found "Windows Live Movie Maker" on my computer. Works great. Thanks all.
  4. Thanks. I'll check it out. Can you burn slideshow onto dvd through flicker?
  5. How can I make a slideshow of a bunch of pictures/videos? I want to put a bunch of pics/video together and burn it onto a DVD. Thanks in advance for any help. The few free slideshow websites I have tried only like 10-20 pictures. I want to put like 100 on. Thanks.
  6. Wednesday > He passed up a spike and 2 does., hunted dark-dark Thursday (Thanksgiving) > He passed up a different spike. Hunted dark - 12pm. Friday > He saw nothing. Hunted dark-dark Saturday > He passed up a doe and 2 fawns. Watched them bed down for over an hour. Saw a red fox running, couldnt get a shot.
  7. I agree with Weddblc. If you don't care if you sell it and you only want $28K for it, what's the point of even putting it for sale? You know you won't get $28K for it and if its not about needing the $, then keep it. My opinion, just keep it! What are you going to do with $20K anyway, buy a used car?
  8. Of course, you can hunt any state in the USA for the price of gas and a license.
  9. You can go on free-range semi-guided whitetail deer hunts for less than $700 in many states in the northeast. Much cheaper than a canned hunt for a deer.
  10. If your looking to hunt for dinner, bison meat is much better. Go on a Buffalo hunt and get 1800lbs of meat.
  11. I took off work on 12/10 to hunt the opener with my Excalibur.
  12. Cool. Can you send a working link to your website?
  13. You know its a bad sign when the outfitters website doesn't even work.
  14. Shaun - you should hunt here > http://www.rdmwildbunch.com/hunting-ranch.htm I gaurantee you will kill the biggest buck of the year on this forum!
  15. The Boone and Crockett Club condemns the pursuit and killing of any big game animal kept in or released from captivity to be killed in an artificial or bogus “hunting” situation where the game lacks the equivalent chance to escape afforded free-ranging animals, virtually assuring the shooter a certain or unrealistically favorable chance of a kill.
  16. If you hunt are there long enough it does. It's not hunting. The animal can't get away. The animal can only run to the fence line and that's it.
  17. Great bucks. Some deer just dont have the genetics. My area is commong with this. My 4pt was aged at 2.5 years old by DEC. At 3.5 he probably would have been 6 or 7 pts at most.
  18. Crazy, sounds like a scene out of a movie. Sounds like a scene from "Biz-R-OWorld!" Where in NY does stuff like this happen?
  19. Update: Figured I would give an update on what my Dad has seen. He has hunted the private 8 acres we have access to. He has hunted dark-dark everday. Saturday > He saw and passed up the 4 pointer I shot, about 15-20 minutes before I shot it. Sunday > He saw 2 does in the afternoon. Monday > Nothing. Tuesday > Nothing. But did see and shoot at a big (40+lb. Coyote). He took a shot at it at about 50yards away. It was standing behind some brush, about to be out of sight. He went to the spot and found some hair, but no blood anywhere. He checked around for about an hour in the direction he saw the yote run off, but no luck. He must have nicked the yote when the bullet got deflected through the heavy brush.
  20. why are you going in for lunch if your day hunting isn't over? When you leave the woods it should be to end your day, whatever time that may be. I suggest leaving after dark.
  21. Yea, the expense sucks. But a good mount will last a lifetime. The worst is the people who get a great trophy animal, but then cheap out on the mount and it ends up looking horrible. Trying to save a couple of hundred dollars on a mount make no sense. If you are going to have the mount for the next 50-60 years, you're talking about a few bucks a year.
  22. That has nothing to do with what I am talking about. All I am saying is that if DEC asks to see your kill spot and you're baiting and hunting on a small piece of property, then you will most likely get caught. No need to argue back n forth about it. I'm just stating the fact that DEC is at the butcher's place of business locally. That's all.
