  1. You should see what their putting in the beef!
  2. Congratulations to Josepmrtn in the youth and Adkbuck and Lawdwaz in the senior. Wow, one point difference. Nice job people! Enjoy. I would like to personally thank WNYBuckHunter for his donations, time, and effort for putting this all together for a very successful contest. Thank you to those that donated prizes for the contest. Thanks for all that entered and I wish you much success in future hunts. Everyone wins when they have a chance to get out and enjoy the great outdoors.
  3. We've been pretty lucky so far. Maybe 7, 8 inches of snow, total. Eleven more weeks till the first day of spring. That means in 7 weeks or so, the maples should start running. I can't wait to start boiling and smelling the aroma of fresh maple steam once again. That tasty syrup is soooooo good.
  4. Congrats grow on your first find this year. Maybe this is sign for more finds in your future. We had ice yesterday and a good rainfall last night into this morning totaling 1 1/2". Muddy mess and no way to get out.
  5. Can watch that style on Lifetime and Hallmark.
  6. Went out on a windy New Years day for a few hours hunt. The shed finds have come to a grinding halt, but did manage to find a 7 " snapping turtle shell, which I guess, would be illegal to keep. Through that one back. Continued walking, being driven by the thirst for antler gold and came across a nice old filet knife in it original case. Judging by the rust on the blade, I would guess it was dropped sometime during this past firearms season. A critter had started chewing on the sheath. Not sure why someone would carry this type of knife. One thing I've noticed this year, I'm stumbling onto increase bedding areas. The deer are using heavier leaved areas, which are extremely dry, for this time of the year. Maybe seeing 27 deer, last day of muzzleloader season had something to do, LOL. Known bedding areas, I like to stay out of till March or so. Had some late evening activity in the chicken house. Grabbed first weapon handy, which turned out to be a muzzleloader. Shot my first red fox of the year, chicken in mouth. Nice large prime fox. Something had bitten it's right ear off, and had pellets in it's back, that were turning green. Weighed 9 lbs. I skinned both and through'em in the freezer. Might just make a decent mount someday.
  7. I believe he's already started campaigning to become president of this fine nation, that's going into the toilet. The waters rising and getting ready for the next flush.
  8. Just shot a red fox that was getting in the hen house.
  9. Seriously, Alaska, this time of year. You've got to be a brave soul. Please open a new thread and tell us all about your trip!
  10. Happy New Year! I'll be shedding in the New Year, provided we don't get the lake effect snow storm that's on the horizon.
  11. Is those background posts the start of a new barn? Maybe a shed or two is in your future. Edit: both meanings, LOL.
  12. Congrats! That mink is huge. Any special plans for it?
  13. Don't forget their $10 dollar coupon in the NY Hunting & Trapping guide.
  14. Gentle reminder, only a few more days to get your entries posted. Thanks to those who have already posted.
  15. I'm in search of some snow camo coveralls for 3 years now.
  16. These agencies have gain way to much power. It's time these positions become elected by the people, instead of appointed. In past history, they have done some good. Today, they attack companies that have wealth, in order to continue their strive. Residents are so stupid, the agencies blinding light shines in their faces. The communities loose and these agencies don't give a dam!
  17. Start up a deer hunting preserve. Get some big bucks and charge 19k for each harvested 200 incher.
