  4. I usually put a nice big dab of dairy cool whip on my hides and bones, LOL.
  5. Their are some good videos on butchering your own deer. Team Fitzgerald taught me.
  6. Would like to go to the ATA show someday.
  7. Well worth posting again. Don't we have enough career politicians already? As I see it, they are in office to long already. Shorten their terms! Cut their salaries!
  8. Best place to see them, hanging instead of running loose.
  9. I'm out there now, checking for sheds,as well as deer sign. This is a 12 month ordeal. It never ends. You get a lot of key information, past, present and future. I've noticed a lot of change, this winter compared to last. Keeping a log book helps me to review each season. I enjoy the winter months more now, instead of leaving deer season, and waiting for the turkey boys.
  10. Never ever. Caught the flu 3rd week of bow,( or something like it). Had it 2 weeks into shotgun, got over it. Then got it back on the 28th, when we went with the SIL to the casino. Getting over it again, but that cough hangs on. Maybe next year, I'll get thew flu shot, so I get sick then.
  11. Those are some very nice finds. You have some serious shedding going on. Walked about 4 hours this am.. Figured the food sources would be a good spot, as their has been some serious activity, but nill.
  12. Got out and did about 4 hours of shed hunting. No sheds found but, it did give me a chance to check out the radish. They sure have taken a beating over the weeks, but the deer are still drawn to them. Enc. are a few pics.
  13. Autozone sells rear axle fluid for a front wheel drive.
  14. I made some 3 " wide wood frames. I ship lapped the corners. Their 2' X 2' , plexiglass mounted in them. Used a circular saw and a chisel. They hinge at the top. After 5 years, still work great. Could snap u a pic, if interested.
  15. Seen a few birds in a corn field yesterday. Nice to see a turkey again, since October 18th, LOL.
  16. Deer were non stop in the radish from early bow to present. Best $100, I ever spent. Know what top on the list for seed this year, LOL. Hopefully, their not a shortage. I haven't got my Welters catalog yet.
  17. My turnips are still untouched. Their choice is the radish and the wheat under a thin layer of wet snow. No frost in the ground, I pulled some turnips, fixing for super. I'll eat'em since the deer don't, LOL.
  18. If the weather is right next week, hope to get some plowing done. Turn the snow under, right with the ground.
  19. The neighbors cows were in my acreage grazing, more then the deer, during archery and firearm season. They were never shot. I mention that his fencing needed some repair, he didn't seem to concerned. He then showed me a cam pic of a fair size rack deer; I forgot about the cows.
  20. Sometimes the angle of the shot makes it appear that way. His antlers are in the normal area of the skull. Did u get any more pics of bucks later on to compare. That speads the frosting on the cake. Like how he's waving the white flag in the last pic.
  21. Think the light snow all day kept our temp, up, balmy 30 degrees. A year ago on the 3rd, we were 10.
