  1. Congrats to your son Eddie. Just the reverse here, all doe, no bucks. Haven't got any idea what's up with this breeding season. Know its going on, but bucks, most likely nocturnal.
  2. Here's a flock that nearly every morning, come in to say hello, 20 yard or less sometimes LOL. Four days before season, never heard from again. Kinda miss the old bird.
  3. Same here. But we're seeing a higher number of doe. Breeding seems to be very slow.
  4. Natural gas supply is endless. But think of the propane seller, that can't fill your tank, when he has no power.
  5. All my hunting garments have them. Some have already failed, replacing with a handy dandy snap kit, What about the ones that still work. ever get stuck on u. Nothing p's me off more than a release stuck in a pocket where the zipper won't undo.
  6. All areas are not the same For our area, seem to be special days when the deer come in the open. Last year, it was in a driving rain storm with a little fog on an evening hunt. My son had 11 deer in the wheat field.Shot a big doe. Food sources are good spots if u can catch them out of nocturnal, and their are times to do this. Deer tend to be in more cover most days. We hunt those areas too. Their are certain years, if you're in the right spot at the right time, might catch a flock, but u must be quick on your shot.
  7. Ok, so u must have been hunting since Oct 11th, LOL. Heading out to shoot a buck, hope.
  8. Eddie, are u getting any pictures, video with that new camera?
  9. Now all u need is a pair of growalot goggles, LOL.
  10. My son shot this doe last night at 29 yd. He shot slightly quartering away. She moved at release. The arrow entered in a real bad area but took out a major artery in the hind leg. Excellent blood trail. He was extremely lucky. She went 90 yd, and down. Weighed 157 lb. gross, 123 lb net.
  11. Hers a pic of one that had stood up in front of me. They bed down right out in the field during the day. Gives an idea just how tall these things got.
  12. Welter Seed & Honey company. Wanted just radish with the option to blend my own. Another member led me to them, thanks grow. welter seed & honey company.htm
  13. They pull the root out of the ground and chow it right down. They do stick out of the ground about 6 inch.Their are pieces laying all over. They drop the tops here and don't eat them as much right now . Deer haven't touched my turnips.I'll try to get some close pics of them in their mouths. Going to plant several more acres next year.
  14. They grew well and deer love them after a frost.
  15. I'll vote after hunting tonight. Always vote late. Hunting is more important, LOL. I feel your local elections are more important then the presidential, We have a tight one between Slaughter and Collins.
