  1. We have small branches down in the yard. Might have had down drafts out that first storm that hit out of Toronto. That one had a bow echo in Canada at 10pm. Have not checked out in the fields yet.
  2. I also leave it to the experts. Love mushrooms. We used to go over to the mushroom farm on Rt 5, years ago and get fresh ones.
  3. Started here 11 last night on and off all night. Lightning every 5-10 min..The thunder shook the house at times. Finally, 1 1/10" of rain. That's sure gonna help. They said best chance for severe weather in WNY is the southern tier today. Thunder and rain knocking on the door now.
  4. Taste like chicken. Eddie, I know where their's a few more horses asses, lol.
  5. Grow, u put in oats, better sharpen your broadheads because deer will come in and hammer . 1 acre gone by Thanksgiving. Putting in more food sources, don't trust this weather. Hope we get rain in August.
  6. Interesting that WNY hasn't received an response yet. Believe it was on the goveners desk, but wasn't there a time limit for signing?
  7. Some how of another, this post got by me. Better late than never, congrats on a beautiful bird. Did u have a full mount made? if so, any pics?
  8. In reading on the NWTF website, They state this recessive trait is found more common in hens, but can also be found in toms. Another member posted a nice bearded hen here, that was a good size. I have never seen one, while afield. To have that many in the same area, I would think, is not common.
  9. History repeats itself. We will ever learn my the mistakes made- No.
  10. Wow, 1st in weight in Canada, that's great. And he would be Atypical because of multi beards. Now do they add up total beard length, and if so, where does he stand in that respect. Last I looked, think 12"+ was the longest one beard there.
  11. What I like the most, is they made the mount like he's gobbling. He's does have some beautiful colors. Congrats again on a wonderful trophy. What did he weigh?
  12. National Weather Service just issued a severe thunder storm watch from Watertown, Syracuse, Binghamton line to eastern part of state. Be on the lookout people.
  13. Here comes the cold front. Lightning display is really something in the N.W..Getting some of the outflow boundries now. Maybe some rain, pleaseeeeeeeee.
  14. Got to offered in the high schools. Know plenty of teachers that would make the extra effort. Just have to get the ball rolling.
  15. There's nothing like a great turkey mount, triple beard no less. Really nice, congrats.
  16. Don't even know if August oats planting will be affected. Once that worm gets started, it's hard to stop. I found the only way was to harvest the hay, letting the ground dry out on top. Don't even check the ground, look for birds on ground, my army worm indicator We had hundreds in one field. Oats planting in August is tough with this bug. Farmers here are saying to expect a 3rd wave sometime in late August. Afraid for the winter wheat, barley, and rye planting September.
  17. Is that the second round, grow? They didn't touch the legumes, just the grasses here. About 30% hay loss. Had 1 / sq ft..
  18. He's a dandy. Thanks for posting. Good luck with'im.
  19. Thanks for the replies. I shot a few, as a kid once in structure. Got windowed on the rebound. Had the fix window as punishment with mad money. Anyone ever try a bow?
  20. With 4-600 in free stuff from Gander, it is Christmas, lol.
  21. Like to comment on Northerner stand, because that looks like he did a nice job on that one. I'd eat Thanksgiving dinner in there, if I could get the misses, and inlaws out. Don't want to step on burmjohns post though.
  22. Better get youself a big fish pole, and anchor, lol.
