Looked at Firenock. They were about double in price, compared to Lumenok, Easton Tracers, Nocternals, and Lazer Eyes, but their technology may be worth more.

What type of lighted nocks were u thinking of using. I have been weighing the option of using for a few years now, but still haven't purchased any.

Remington 12 ga, rifled barrel; brenekee 3" sabot slug. -
My goodness, you are gona have your hands full, come season, hopefully full of rack. Looks like that 2 year old in post #3 might be blind in his left eye?

We'll, doesn't this make for interesting. I'm still reading deer youth hunt on DEC web site.

Small game youth seasons are before regular seasons usually. It will be interesting to see how deer youth season plays out. I figured that with youth gun, the archery season would be closed for those 3 days. Some of those young people with guns, running around the fields and all. I know it says with a 3 years experienced hunter and all, but it didn't say educated hunter or hunting style. -

The wording is a little confusing. October 1st southern zone bow opener, has that certain ring to it. Am I dreaming? -

The way it reads, I would take it to start the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend. 6,7, and 8th. I very well. could be wrong though. Thanks for posting the requirements. Also might be a good time for all bow hunters to wear some orange to and from their hunting spots. -

So, are bow hunters still allowed in the field during Youth firearms weekend? That would be Oct. 6,7, and 8th. -
Nothing like being flushed out.
-
So, the youth hunt is the hold up. They don't want to break up the archery season.
-
Wonder if the holdup is still over the Columbus Day weekend youth firearm season. Seem to be a lot of discussion over that topic, more than any other.

Comparing the same deer almost a year later.
landtracdeerhunter replied to Fairgame's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
Yeah, he's 3 this year, got to agree. Tough to call them the same though. Up here, would give'm another year. Have seen many deer like that one that blow into a giant. One more year can really make all the difference, if he stays in the area. -
Enjoyed your pics, thanks.
-
Hope he don't hit any pot holes.

Food plot questions on cutting
landtracdeerhunter replied to Carl's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Maybe kind of depends what brand of clover it is. I grow a few acres of red clover for hay. Always wait for heads to form and blossom, before cutting. -
Buckwheat always seems to be a favorite with deer. Also great for cleaning up ground that has laid fallow for several years. Use to grow it years back for pancake flour.
