  7. Ten Ways To Get In Shape To Own A Horse! 1. Drop a heavy steel object on your foot. Don't pick it up right away. Shout "Get off, stupid! Get off!" 2. Leap out of a moving vehicle and practice "Relaxing into the fall". Roll lithely into a ball, and spring to your feet! 3. Learn to grab your checkbook out of your purse/pocket and write out a $200 cheque without even looking down. 4. Jog long distances carrying a halter and holding out a carrot. Go ahead and tell the neighbors what you're doing. They might as well know now. 5. Affix a pair of reins to a moving freight train and practice pulling it to a halt. And smile as if you are really having fun. 6. Hone your fibbing skills. "See hon, moving hay bales is fun!" and " I'm glad your lucky performance and multi-million dollar horse won you first place - I'm just thankful that my hard work and actual ability won me second place". 7. Practice dialing your chiropractors number with both arms paralyzed to the shoulder, and one foot anchoring the lead rope of a frisky horse. 8. Borrow the US Army slogan; "Be all that you can be'...(add) bitten, thrown, kicked, slimed, trampled." 9. Lie face down in the mud in your most expensive riding clothes and repeat to yourself: "This is a learning experience, this is a learning experience,..." 10. Marry Money!
  8. jabberjaw, enlightened, guru, greenhorn, legendary, mountainman, master, ...lol
  9. looks like the one may be a piebald... i hate infrared..to bad it wasn't a flash could of see the colurs or if the winter coat was just growing in spolchy.. .
  10. Killing and courting are two very different things... as for what works for you its 90% mental anyways.. But in the actual world the advertising world makes it seem as if you need this stuff to be sucessful..just like diamonds are forever great add by the debeers company.(actully do you think that you need a diamond ring to be engaged if your potentail wife does maybe you should keep looking). truth is you don't its just beat into you by advertising and media I remember a lot of early videos where trophy bucks were taken with out all the gimmics.. (I wonder if the profession hunters could even hunt as well with out wearing and promoting their sponsers products, seems if your a good hunter your a good hunter to me..) You'll probably have much more sucess playing the wind.. than just wear this suit and hunt.....or spray this chemical and hunt...
  11. Just wondering how many days you actually put in deer hunting? I get about 23 days in for bow and maybe 10 for gun and 3-4 for muzzloader.
  12. I agree with joe. 12 and 14 are really rare especially clean typicals. By the fossil record most bucks are genetlically 8 pt. I think the guys that consisitalnt see huge deer are looking through a game farm fence. Of course everyone has a different idea of big.. Have a guest who always sees big bucks but never gets a shot or misses finially once shoot a huge half rack "his exact words via radio" only when we got there expecting to see a good heavy half rack that of whole would gross high 110 plus. We saw half a 8 that if whole would score 80 if that. Kind of made us re evaluate all his big buck stories from previous years.. I guess if you want to believe everything your told you better know what the guys reference is for size....

    Which Sight?

As a left handed shooter. there is only one sight i would recommend. montana black gold. it comes left handed. and has a photo sensitive shade to dim the unbeleviablly bright micro pins as it get later in the morning and it will lighten again toward evening. It comes in 3 and 5 pin models. it also has a level that is easy to see. once you look through a peep at one you will never look at a different sight. tha pins are small enough that they do not obscure your target and still do not obscure the vitals at 65 yards. My friend bougth a new trophy ridge to hunt elk with in colorado but after he saw mine he switched. I used trophy ridge previously and was happy untill i saw the black gold....i'd never switch back
  14. nice! you may not have one now but soon you will they are really expanding their range!!
  15. Still do..but a pic of a log or a stump just doesn't spark discussion now does it
  16. finished the last blind's windows and painting
  17. before they get to you, get out of the stand let them get close and run into them.. then wait and then call em back a lot easier with a bow at that point because you will have individual bird coming in or at least small groups vs trying to fool an entire flocks eyes!!!
