: You know what they say about assuming, right? Maybe some people just like to see how fast they can do it. I think the video was make to show us just how slow we are, but that's ok .The final result is what counts.Dave

I have 20 acres just inside Delaware county near the Sullivan county line at Fremont Center. I am on a dirt road not much traffic which suites me just fine. The less the better I have seen deer, bear, coyote, rabbit, turkey. But not many squirrels, I wish there were more ,I try small game season but don't see any. There are all sorts of birds even Geese and occasional ducks in the area. So when you take into account what happened in Japan I feel blessed to have this special place. Sometimes the roads get washed out but not for long and they re back to normal. I have planted white pine along the road in front of my property and they are growing very well. Also planted apple trees though growing not much fruit. They have been in the ground about 4 yrs and I hope they start to produce this year. For all you land owners count your blessings for your special place. Dave

I feel like a 3rd rate citizen in my own country. It's not the country we grew up in. An with this administration I feel it will get even worse. It seems the only people in this country that have rights are the minority, illegals and people on the dole. The majority is not in charge any more they just pay for all the people with their hand out. I wonder if America could turn into Egypt and people revolt because the Gov't has abandoned their rights and has stopped listening to it's people.Dave

Why do it so fast when you can enjoy a couple of beers with your friends and get the deer done too. This is a good camp tradition too.Dave

COYOTES: These guy's have been busy this winter!!! This is Tony and Terry Russell, and Rocky Longbrake. { Dupree , SD } You don't think we don't have a coyote problem in western South Dakota well think again! These three boys shot over 400 hundred coyotes in western South Dakota from the first of November to the first week of February 2011 with in twenty-five miles of my home town. There are 208 coyotes in this picture and the balance of the coyotes had mange. I do truly thank these three boys for all the help in the control of these predators! I'm a rancher in western South Dakota and with out their help with predator control it would be impossible to raise livestock. try this one this is honest as one can be. Splinters in Her Crotch A woman from Los Angeles who was a tree hugger, a liberal Democrat, and an anti-hunter, purchased a piece of timberland near Colville , WA . There was a large tree on one of the highest points in the tract. She wanted a good view of the natural splendor of her land so she started to climb the big tree. As she neared the top she encountered a spotted owl that attacked her. In her haste to escape, the woman slid down the tree to the ground and got many splinters in her crotch. In considerable pain, she hurried to a local ER to see a doctor. She told him she was an environmentalist, a democrat, and an anti-hunter and how she came to get all the splinters. The doctor listened to her story with great patience and then told her to go wait in the examining room and he would see if he could help her. She sat and waited three hours before the doctor reappeared. The angry woman demanded, "What took you so long?" He smiled and then told her, "Well, I had to get permits from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Forest Service, and the Bureau of Land Management before I could remove old-growth timber from a recreational area, so close to a waste treatment facility. I'm sorry, but due to Obama Care, they turned me down." Dave PS hope Virgil likes this one.

WNYBuckHunter If I am reading your post right, you think it is ok what the republicans are doing to this country and it's working. people. Do you know that if the republicans are successful in what they are trying to do, then you might as well hand them the key to the whole country because there will be only a one party system in the government and it will no longer the government of the people. Thats not what Im saying at all. I think the entire government is broken, on both sides. They are all out for themselves. I also dont think what you are insinuating is accurate though. I still say that no government job should be unionized. There should be no tenure in the schools, and government workers should get either better pay than the average private sector jobs or better benefits, not both. Why should gov't workers get better pay or benefits than the private sector? In case you haven't been following current events they already have better pay and benefits than the private sector. The average gov't worker makes $10,000 more than the private sector for and equal related job. This doesn't count the benefits. This administration treats gov't jobs as being more important than private sector jobs. Case in point if a private sector can't meet it's expenses it cuts staff and benefits. Once they cut staff their employees are on unemployment and get a MAX of $405 a week until their benefits run out. Now lets see how this administration handles Gov't, county, municipal workers They call congerss to pass legislation to pay for teachers, fire, police and municipal workers. But not at $405 a week! no, they keep their jobs and full benefits and any steps or raises that go with that position. So the workers are really getting full pay and where I come from that can be in the $100,00 and up range. But the irony is the people who are laid off pay for these employees. I guess these employees are the sacred cows, and yes they vote for who takes care of them. That's why there is such an uproar in this country. Dave -
Just something to consider the police dept may have to approve the type of off duty gun you carry. Once you get the job then you will know that your choices maybe. Dave

Remember Nancy Polosi said we have to vote for it so we can find out what's in the bill. Well we are all making assumptions as to what's in the bill and Virgil says we are making assumptions with no facts. I thought I say some facts quoted on this tread. So why doesn't the administration come out and explain what exactly is in this bill? Virgil did you say you work for a hospital? Dave
